ISPED Student Search Results You will only see the students in ISPED that you have been given access to see. SIS Student Search Results SIS Searches are only conducted by SSCs or ISPED User Managers. Student Case Navigator (aka “Head”) Allows user to move from one process to another for a selected student. Side Navigator Bar • Side Navigator Bar is located on the left of every screen in a student record. • Provides access to all Process Modules Processing Module Icons Allows user to move from one process to another for a selected student and is similar in functionality to the “Student Case Navigator” aka „Navigator‟. Also located on the Side Navigator • Student Profile • Preferences • Search • Help • Logout Student Profile • Allows the user to view or edit selected demographic student profile information. • Parental contact information,Team list and Request for Release of Information is located in the Student Profile also. Search Returns the user to the Search Page/Homepage of ISPED to initiate a search for a new student record. Modules and Parent Documents All Modules in ISPED contains a Main body document, sometimes called a Parent document. 2. Evaluation - Request for Evaluation. 3. Eligibility – Eligibility Document 4. IEP/MP Development - IEP or MP 5. Services – Request for Services 6. Due Process - Intake Document These documents appear in Bold Blue. Do not delete a Main Body Document. Edit Mode In EDIT MODE data fields are “open” with white backgrounds. You are able to input new data or change existing data when in EDIT MODE. Read Mode In READ MODE data fields are “closed” with the ISPED module‟s color scheme as the background color. You may not input new data or edit existing data when you are in READ MODE Form Sub Tab Tool Bar • Contains the action buttons EDIT/DELETE or CLOSE or SUBMIT/CANCEL. • These buttons are always located at the top and bottom of the screen. • Also contains the options to view the Team List or to Create an Email directly from ISPED. Edit Button The EDIT Button changes a screen from Read Mode into EDIT Mode. Delete Allows the user to permanently remove the form from the database. Note: When “parent” forms are deleted, all related child forms are also deleted. E-Mail •Allows the user to send an e-mail at any point in ISPED. The E-mail works through Lotus Notes. •An e-mail sent via ISPED will contain a URL link to the form, page and tab from which the e-mail originated. Team List Allows the user to view the current list of individuals on the student‟s team Form Sub Tab Tool Bar from the Edit Mode This is the way the Form Sub Tab Tool Bar will appear when the screen is in EDIT Mode. Note that the choices now are SUBMIT/CANCEL. Submit • SUBMIT is the same as SAVE in ISPED. • This button allows the user to save the data inputted. • Following SUBMIT the screen will appear in READ Mode. Cancel • Allows the user to return to the previous page. • Does not “save” any entered information. Close Allows the user to close the current screen and return to the previous screen. Hot Spots (blue, red or white) Hot Spots are areas of the screen that provide the user with other options for actions. The arrow will turn into a hand when it passes over a hotspot. Locator Message Area Student Name This area of the screen contains information regarding the student and the status of the screen. Any required link will be found here. Mark Complete Changes the status of the screen from Pending to Complete and prevents the data inputted from being further edited. Users will only be able to READ this form or screen once it has been Marked Complete. In addition, Mark Complete is necessary in some cases in order to populate other forms in ISPED. You may print a document that has been marked complete. Where Am I? • Provides the user with a look at all the forms used in that process module including the relationships between forms. • It also shows the user where they are in the module. Form Status The Status of a Form may be: •NEW: form status when first created •PENDING: form status after being submitted at least once •COMPLETE: form status following Mark Complete Colored Action Bar Allows user create a new form, if it does not exist. Appears in every module and is the color of the module. Only found when the current screen is in READ Mode. GREY Tab Bar • Allows user to read or edit various parts of the “body” of the current parent document. • The current “view” of the document is shown in RED. Summary Tabs • Summary tabs gather and present related information in a summary format. • Information is created and edited in a separate form, but “summarized” in the summary tab. • The individual forms are also accessible from the summary tab. Links •Allows the user to link the current form with another process in order to import the previously inputted information. •Links are seen as hotspots in the Locator Message Area. Radio Buttons •“Radio Buttons” are used when the choices are mutually exclusive. You may only select ONE. •To select, simply point to the button with your mouse and click. •The current state of a “radio button” will be changed when another “radio button” is selected. Check Boxes Checkboxes provide the user with the opportunity to make more than one choice Drop Down Lists • “Drop Down Lists” are used to present multiple choices to a field • They prevent the User from having to type information • When you click on your choice it will be highlighted, the box will close and your choice will be shown in the data field window • To complete the selection, simply move to the next field Color Scheme Each of the six major process modules: 2) RFE; 3) Eligibility; 4) IEP/MP Development; 5) Services; and 6) Due Process are represented by six different colors that appear consistently within each module. This helps the user by providing a quick way to identify what processing module is currently active. History Identifies the past 10 individuals who have edited the form and the time Attachments Some forms have associated documents which may need to be “attached”, such as assessments or reports from doctors. This feature is available for all forms in the system. Choose a Date •Click the Choose A Date Hotspot. A calendar will open with today‟s date in red. •User selects the correct date by changing the month and year. •Click on the desired date to populate the date field on the screen. Logout • The process of disconnecting from ISPED 2000. • When activated, this option will return you to the SPED Home Page. • Always exit ISPED by clicking LOGOUT! Browser Navigation •Use the navigational features of ISPED. DO NOT use the browser navigation features at the top of your browser screen. •Use of the browser navigation features (e.g. back, forward), while functional, may cause inconsistent processing results in ISPED.
