I’ve got a God 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 37 years ago, in 1963, a man made a very famous speech that impacted the future of America. It shaped public opinion and formed new policies and laws. That speech was made famous by just four words… “I have a dream” Jerimiah 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. Many people have dreams. I stand before you today and say I didn’t have a dream. I stand before you today and say I’ve got a God. God is reality, dreams are not. Dreams vanish when you wake up, God does not. Psalms 139:7-8 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. You can go as far east as you want, you can go as far west as you want, you can dig the deepest hole that you want, you can go as far out into space as you want, but you cannot escape the reality of God. Pause…Many people don’t believe there is a God. Many people don’t believe there is a hell. They are living a dream! I’ve got a God who is real. Not only do I have a God who is real, but I’ve got a God who is faithfull. Duet 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God,he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent; hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? 1 Thesselonians 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who will also do it. If God said it would come to pass, it will come to pass! If he said he would save your soul, then he will save your soul. If he said he would keep your soul, he will keep your soul. If he said he’s coming back….guess what? He’s coming back! Not only is my God real. Not only is my God faithful, but my God is also able to do what he said he would do. Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. People can make all kinds of promises and are unable to keep them. Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Just how able is God? He created all things that we see and even the things we can’t see. He formed principalities and powers, he formed the angles, and seraphims. He formed the Earth out of nothing, and then formed man out of the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Mohammed couldn’t do that! Buddah couldn’t do that! Why? Because they are not God! I’ve got a God who is the God of all creation. Why would anyone choose to worship a false god? When you can have the real thing? It’s beyond me. I’ve got a God. I don’t have a piece of the Rock. I’ve got the whole thing! Amen. I don’t have part of the Holy Spirit, I’ve got the whole thing! God doesn’t do things part way. When God does something, he does it all the way. There is no lukewarm with God. My God is a consuming fire! Is there a fire in your heart? Do you want to see a revival fire break out? You can’t start a fire with a warm match! It’s got to be hot! I’ve got a God that does all things well. I’ve got a God. I have a God that brought the walls of Jerico down with a shout! Joshua said we’re gonna march around the city and we are gonna shout and the walls are gonna come down. Amen! Do you have a God worth shouting about? If you don’t have a God worth shouting about, then I suggest you get rid of him and get ahold of the True and Living God!! Did your God give you something to shout about??? I’ve got a God who is real, I’ve got a God who is faithfull, I’ve got a God who is able, I’ve got a God who is worthy of a shout!!! I’ve got a God! I’ve got a God! I’ve got a God!!! I’ve got a God who wrote a book. Many peopl have given their lives for this book. Why would anyone die for just a book??? There must be something about it? Could it be the words of life?? John 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. I’ve got an eternal book that speaks of eternal life. It’s not an NIV…It’s not an ASV…It’s not a MIC KEY MOUSE Don’t give me a Mickey Mouse Bible. I want a 66 caliber canon. Give me a King James 1611Bible. I want the real McCoy!! God wrote a book, whose words reached down from heaven into the heart of this sinner that stands before you today, and saved his soul from a burning pit of hell with his own blood. I’ve got a God who wrote a book. But best of all, I’ve got a God who is alive. There was a famous worldly philosopher named Nietche. One of Nietches most famous quotes was “God is dead” Someone spray painted graffiti on a wall that said, “Nietche said, God is dead” Well, years later, Nietchie finally died. So someone went and crossed out that graffitti. and wrote underneath it “God said, Nietche’s dead!” I wouldn’t want to be in Nietche’s shoes when God says “Final Answer?” I’ve got a God who is alive, he’s not dead. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh to the father but by me.” Mohammed couldn’t make a statement like that. Buddha couldn’t make a statement like that. Do you know why? Because they are dead! My God is alive. He arose from the grave! Finally, I’ve got a God who has some nail holes in his hands because of my sins. I’ve got a God who has some nail holes in his feet becaue of my sins. He has some wounds in his head from a crown of thorns because of my sins He was whipped and beaten for my sins I’ve got a God who was spit upon, mocked, and ridiculed, for my sins. “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” I’ve got a God who loved me and gave himself for me. I’ve got a God. I’ve got a God, who one day, I’ll kneel and weep at his feet and thank him for what he did for me. I’ll wash his feet with my tears and wipe them with the hairs of my head. I’ve got a God worth thanking. Do you have a God like that? If not, get it right. Trust Jesus now. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. And you can have a God worth shouting about. And this can be a day worth remembering.
