HOTEL RESERVATIONS: We have obtained special meeting rates of US$47.50++ per
room per night (inclusive of breakfast for one) for a Superior Room at the New World Wing
of the hotel. The hotel accepts payments by credit card or cash. It is normal practice for the
hotel to request for the equivalent of one night deposit or a credit card imprint, upon checking
in. Block reservations have been made for meeting participants, but please confirm your
dates of arrival and departure using the enclosed confirmation form, with Ms. Kalpana
Balakrishnam, CDPF-7 Secretariat, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Tel. +60-3-2091-5149; Fax

For NCSA-supported participants, please inform Ms Kalpana Balakrishnam at the above
address, one week prior to the workshop for any cancellation on the hotel bookings.
Participants would be required to pay a one-day hotel rate during registration for any last
minute cancellation.

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT: Airport limousines and taxis are available
at the arrival area of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your use. Passengers are
advised to purchase a coupon at taxi/limousine counters at the arrival area, which costs about
RM 70 - 80 (about US$ 18 - 22). Travel time by car is approximately one hour from the
airport to the hotel.

Alternatively, participants may take the KLIA Express (direct rail service), which links the
KL International Airport to Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur Central Station).
KLIA Express operates from 5am to 1am everyday with operations every 15 minutes during
peak hours; travel time to Stesen Sentral takes about 30 minutes. Tickets (RM 35.00 or US$
10.00) for one-way; RM70 or US$19 for round-trip) can be purchased at the vending
machines and ticket counters at KLIA. From Stesen Sentral, a taxi ride to Renaissance Hotel
would cost less than RM 12 (approx US$ 3). Participants could likewise take the Light Rail

Transport (LRT) from Stesen Sentral -- the closest LRT station to Renaissance Hotel is the
Dang Wangi Station, about 10 minutes walk to the hotel.



AIRTICKETS AND DAILY SUBSISTENCE ALLOWANCE (DSA):

Cap2015- and PPPUE-Supported Participants

Cap2015/PPPUE-supported participants will receive the standard UN DSA which will cover
meals, accommodation, and miscellaneous/incidental expenses. Upon confirmation of
participation, an authorization will be issued by Cap2015/UNOPS or PPPUE/UNOPS to the
UNDP Country Office (CO) which will then issue the roundtrip economy class ticket and
DSA. The cost of sponsored meals (i.e., lunch for three days, 1-3 November; dinner on 2
Nov) and accommodation (for four nights, 31 Oct – 3 Nov) during the meeting will be
deducted from the issued DSA, and will be paid directly to the hotel. If UNDP is not present
in the country, payments will be deposited to your personal account.

Cap2015 and PPPUE support will cover Forum sessions on 1-3 November only; arrival of
participants are expected to be on 31 October and departure on 4 November after the formal
Forum sessions on 3 November. Participants wishing to attend the technical NCSA
discussions on 4-5 November will be responsible for obtaining separate funding support.

GEF/NCSA-Supported Participants

NCSA-supported participants will receive the standard UN DSA which will cover meals,
accommodation, and miscellaneous/incidental expenses. Upon confirmation of participation,
the UNDP CO will issue the roundtrip economy class ticket and DSA. The cost of sponsored
meals (i.e., lunch for the days you are participating in the Forum; dinner on 2 Nov) during the
meeting will be deducted from the issued DSA, and will be paid directly to the hotel. Detailed
instruction regarding transfer of this money will be provided to each UNDP country office on
a separate note.

WEATHER: Kuala Lumpur will be warm, but showers are expected. The hotel premises
are air-conditioned.

LUNCHES: The lunch break is approximately an hour, and will be provided at the hotel.

FASTING PARTICIPANTS

Muslim participants who are fasting for the Ramadhan month, per dawn meal (sahur) can be
replaced with room service instead of the breakfast buffet, which is included in the room

charges. Please indicate in the registration form if you wish to avail of this service. In lieu of
buffet lunch, fasting participants will be issued hotel meal vouchers which may be consumed
at the preference of the participant.

TELEPHONE/FAX/INTERNET CONNECTION: Please make phone calls from your
hotel room. Any fax messages you are expecting should be sent directly to your hotel room.
Phone calls and outgoing fax messages will be charged to your hotel bill, for which you are
responsible. High-speed internet connection is available in each room and use will be
charged to personal account.

MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES

The organizers will not be responsible for extra room costs such as laundry, telephone calls,
mini bar, room service, airport transfers or other transport costs, among others.
