              Stickers and One Trip Tickets are sold at the Town Hall Annex, 145 Main Street - Mon. – Fri., 8:30-4:30

CAR REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: Purchasers without a Sandwich address on registration must show property deed,
documentation from closing papers, lease or tax bill as proof of residency. Utility bills are not acceptable. If the automobile is leased,
purchaser must show copy of lease agreement with the name of the owner.

PLACEMENT OF STICKER: Sticker must be placed on the driver’s side lower windshield (inside).

RESIDENT TRANSFER STATION FEES:

Vehicles with Commercial stickers must present a $10.00 one-trip ticket each time they enter the Transfer
Station. These tickets can be purchased at the Town Hall Annex.
Commercial waste will be defined as all non-hazardous waste generated by a business or commercial enterprise
located in Sandwich. All waste must have been generated in Sandwich. Commercial waste stickers can only be
purchased by a resident or non-resident owner of a business or commercial enterprise located in Sandwich.
“DUMP RUNS”

Those businesses that perform “dump runs” for Sandwich residents must purchase a Commercial Waste Sticker
and present a $10 one-trip ticket for each in/out trip to the transfer station. All waste must have been generated
in Sandwich.
ONE TIME FEES:
Standard Pick-Up (Household*) . . . . . . . . . . . 10.00 per trip (tickets can be purchased at the Town Hall Annex)

BRUSH, DEMOLITION MATERIALS AND HAZARDOUS WASTE: NOT ACCEPTED

RECYCLING:                                  A Sticker or one-trip ticket is required for recycling.

HOURS OF OPERATION:                         Tues. 8:00am to 7:45pm, Wed. through Sun. 8:00a.m. to 3.45p.m. Closed on Mon.
                                            Closed: New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas

HOUSEHOLD:
“Everyday” waste that comes from a single household.

RESIDENT:
Anyone who owns property and/or legally resides in the Town of Sandwich

REPLACEMENT STICKERS:
Each household is entitled to one free replacement sticker. YOU MUST RETURN THE ORIGINAL STICKER TO RECEIVE A
FREE REPLACEMENT. If you purchase a new car, remove the old sticker and bring it to the Town Hall Annex with the new
registration.

PROPERTIES WITH MORE THAN ONE RENTAL UNIT PLEASE NOTE: Stickers are not transferable to new residents.
When one person moves out and a new resident moves in then the new resident must pay the full price.

                           BEACH & TRANSFER STATION RULES AND REGULATIONS

As a holder of a residential parking and transfer station permit, the resident/taxpayer agrees to abide by these
rules and regulations as well as the Town Ordinances and bylaws regarding beach and transfer station activities.
BEACH AND TRANSFER STATION STICKERS ARE ISSUED TO VEHICLES/LICENSE PLATE NUMBERS, AND NOT
INDIVIDUALS.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: A resident/taxpayer must prove residency by the following:
   1. Copy of vehicle registration indicating Town of Sandwich address.
   2. If vehicle is not registered in the Town, the person to whom the vehicle is registered must be listed on a
      Town of Sandwich Real Estate tax bill or listed on the town census.
   3. Property owners who are “Trustees” are eligible for a residential permit. A copy of the trust must be
      presented with trustees listed along with the vehicle registration. Beneficiaries are NOT eligible for
      Resident permits.
   4. Immediate family members are eligible for a Resident permit providing they meet the following
      definition: A father, mother, sister, husband, wife, son or daughter who has a vehicle registered at the
      same address as the resident/taxpayer.
   5. If you drive a “company vehicle” proof of employment with that company must be shown. Either a
      business card or the insurance selection sheet listing you as the driver.
OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION:
   1.   Children, relatives, friends from “out of Town” ARE NOT eligible for residential permits.
   2.   Utility bills cannot be used as verification of residency.
   3.   Parking permits will not be issued to dealer or repair license plates.
   4.   If you do not, own or lease a vehicle you are not eligible for stickers.
   5.   You cannot relinquish your right to a residential sticker to another person; i.e. children, grandchildren,
        brother, sister, etc.
   6.   Stickers are not transferable to new owners or tenants. When the occupant of a house or apartment
        moves out, their sticker cannot be transferred to the new owner or tenant. The new owner or tenant must
        purchase a sticker at full price.
   7.   The sticker must be attached to the vehicle.
   8.   To transfer a sticker to a new vehicle, remove the old sticker and bring it the Town Hall Annex along
        with the registration of your new vehicle. Failure to do so will result in a $5.00 replacement fee.
   9.   Stickers are non-refundable.

BUSSES: Fee for parking a bus at the Town beach is $50.00 and can be purchased at Town Hall Annex.

LIFEGUARDS: Starting June 26, 2004 there will be lifeguards at Snake Pond, Wakeby Lake and Peters Pond.

ENFORCEMENT:
Beach sticker parking will be enforced by beach gate attendants and/or Sandwich Police Department.
Transfer station stickers will be enforced by transfer station employees and/or Sandwich Police Department.
In both cases, vehicles whose sticker is not attached or whose sticker does not match the license plate will not
be allowed access.
