                 The Climate Savers ComputingInitiative (CSCD, is a non-profit group dedicated        to
         reducingenergyconsumption computirs. Ministry of New and Renewabie

         hands with CSCI and iequestedNiC to issue        direction to all NIC units to enablepower
         management    settings the computer

         sleep/hibemate  mode o? computets   when they are inactivefor a sustainedduration. More than
         half of the powerin desktopPCsis wastedasheat. The computers      havedefaultsettings go to

         sleep/hibernate mode when not in use for a    period. However in most of the systems        this
         funciionalityis disabled. If the powermanagement   modeis enabled,  roughly it is calculatedthat
         290 KWh energycan be ruu.d         per computerannually. Our country is expected have 47
