A Word from our Principal and Gator Fund President
Dear Golden View Community,

We thank you for your support of the Gator Fund’s “evening of the year”: All Things Golden
’06…Viva Las Vegas! Without a doubt, this event is the single most important support for vital
programs and services which directly benefit every student at Golden View:
                 • Library
                 • Classroom music
                 • Paraeducators
                 • Reading specialist/reading intervention
                 • Computer technician

As you well know, the Gator Fund “dug a little deeper” into its reserves this year, to the tune of
over $40,000- to enable every class to have its own library time, to provide more library access
times, and to significantly increase access to reading intervention and support for students K-5.

We regard these new ventures as extending our investment in literacy. These investments are
possible because of the involvement and support of our parents and community. This year’s
theme, Growing Together, is certainly illustrated and enriched by participation in the “must do”
event of 2006: Viva Las Vegas! Coming together in support of the Gator Fund for this event
certainly helps us to continue to grow our educational services to benefit the students of Golden
View.

An event like All Things Golden ’06…Viva Las Vegas! doesn’t just happen. All Things Golden
Committee members have been working tirelessly for months soliciting for and organizing the
live and silent auctions and corporate and family sponsorships, designing decorations, setting
up dinner and dancing, and producing and distributing invitations and publicity. Applause goes
to all the room moms for their creativity and donations to the class baskets. Thanks to the
teachers, paraeducators and staff for their special “teacher treats”. Special recognition needs to
be given to teacher Dee Dee Judice who has contributed countless hours as the teacher
representative to ATG. As usual, local business and corporate sponsors have been very generous
with donations. We are blessed to have the services of All Things Golden committee chairs,
Angie Dimitri and Monica DeMain. Their dedication, skills, leadership and creativity make this
a very special event.

Remember our paraphrase… whatever’s raised in Vegas…stays at Golden View.

Sincerely,
Michael Bossi, Principal
Carol Mascali, Gator Fund President

A Word from the All Things Golden ’06 Event Chairs
Welcome to “All Things Golden ’06…Viva Las Vegas!” As you read through this program, we
hope you are amazed at the generosity of so many families, staff members and businesses in our
community. The proceeds from this event enable the Golden View Gator Education Fund to
continue to offer programs to all children at our school. Thank you to everyone who became a
family or corporate sponsor, donated an auction item, or bought a raffle or Teacher Treat ticket.
Also, please patronize the businesses that have participated tonight – our children are directly
benefiting from their generosity.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the following people who have donated countless hours of
their time, talent and creativity to ensure a successful event. Without their dedication and
overwhelming commitment of time, All Things Golden ’06 would not be possible.

enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile for our children. Thank you to our principal,
Mike Bossi, for all of the support he has given us over these last six months. We could always
count on his help whenever needed. Finally, a special thank you to Michele Wastal, who gives
150% to everything she does. Her commitment to this event, and to Golden View, cannot be
measured.

Once again, thank you. Enjoy the evening!

                                      LIVE DESSERT AUCTION

1 Tiramisu from Katrina Rozelle
Katrina Rozelle is known for outstanding cakes and pastries made from the finest ingredients. Katrina's
thoughtful interpretation of this classic Italian dessert combines imported Mascarpone cheese, dark rum,
strong coffee, rich cocoa and airy genoise in a heavenly marriage of flavors. Both light and satisfying,
this heavenly dessert tends to disappear quickly. At Katrina's recommendation, we've paired this
heavenly dessert with a heavenly bottle of champagne.

                                                  Auction Rules
                                                Silent Auction
To make a bid, write your bid number and the amount of your bid on the bid sheet. Your bid number can be found
on the back of your program. Each new bid is to be entered on the space directly below the previous bid.

Please bid in the increments specified on the bid sheets. Most items require a minimum bid.

The Silent Auction tables will begin to close at approximately 8 p.m. The highest bid at closing time will be the
winning bid. An auction official will circle the winning bid at table closing. If the highest bid is not in the required
increment over the previous bid, the previous bid will be declared the winner.

If an entry is NOT LEGIBLE, THE PREVIOUS LEGIBLE ENTRY WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED. IN THE
EVENT OF A DISPUTE THE OFFICIAL SHALL ACT AS THE FINAL AUTHORITY AND SHALL
DETERMINE THE WINNING BIDDER. THIS DECISION WILL BE FINAL.

Items are removed ONLY by exhibiting a PAID receipt at the checkout area. Purchaser must pick up all
merchandise on the night of the event.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There will be no exchange or refunds on items. Items are sold “as is” and are not
interchangeable, nor can they be exchanged for cash.

                                            Live Auction Rules
Bidders should remain seated. To enter a bid, promptly raise your bid card (the back of your program) high in the
air so that the auctioneer can clearly see your bid number.

The auctioneer will acknowledge bids and the winning bid at his sole discretion. He may choose to re-offer an item
in the event of a dispute.

Once the auctioneer determines a winning bid, the title to the item passes to that bidder, who then assumes all
responsibility for the item.

Group Purchases: Groups bidding on items shall be represented by one bid number. The number becomes the
official number of record. The spotter will immediately approach the winning bid number and ask for the names
and bid numbers of the entire group. This list will be turned into the Treasurer. Other members of the group can
pay their portion individually, for tax purposes, at checkout if their bid number is recorded on the group list. The
official bid number, however, is responsible for payment in full that night, and will be expected to pay for any
remaining balance on the item.

                                                General Rules
All auction items have been donated to the Golden View Gator Education Fund and many not be exchanged. All
Sales Are Final. Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must be used within one year of the date
of auction. All auction items are sold “as is.” The Gator Fund makes no warranties or representations of any kind
with respect to items or services purchased. Values indicated for items are estimated based on values stated by
donors and are not warranted by the Gator Fund. All items must be removed from the premises by the end of the
evening. Arrangements can be made for items too large to carry. Payment in full must be made immediately
following the auction. You must pay for your items with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
