Registration: 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $50.00 (includes refreshments and lunch for all three sessions)

Act 48 hours: Must attend all three sessions to be awarded the 15 Act 48 hours
DPW hours: 5 hours will be awarded after each session to participants.

REGISTRATION POLICIES & PROCEDURES
(The IU 5 Early Intervention Program has been approved as a PQAS Provider)
Registration policies have been established to help all Preschools and Day Care facilities to enroll in
Early Childhood Staff Development offerings. We welcome your participation in our offerings. In order
to equalize registration opportunities for all participants, the following guidelines have been established:
Registration needs to be mailed in or faxed to the IU by registration deadline.
No registration will be accepted over the phone.
You may check the status of your registration by calling 734-5610 x 8477. No written
confirmation of your registration will be sent.
DPW hours awarded will be submitted to PA Keys.
Act 48 hours can only be awarded by creating an account on CourseWhere by the participant.
Go to www.iu5.org and click on the bottom right calendar.

5 working days or more before offering day Refund minus $5

If you need to cancel, you will need to fax or e-mail a written cancellation to the contact
person listed on the flyer
Insufficient Check Refund Policy
A money order or certified check + a $20 IU processing fee must be forwarded immediately upon our
notification to participant of a check returned for insufficient funds to retain registration and to receive
DPW and /or Act 48 hours.
We expect all participants to comply with our policy of 100% attendance for Act 48 and/or DPW
hours. Partial hours are not permitted. We will consider absences for emergencies only.
Participants should be aware that the instructor has the right to dismiss disruptive/non-participatory
students. Such action will result in loss of hours and payment.
Cancellations will be announced on the IU Night Mailbox, at 814-734-5610, extension #7777. For
evening classes a decision will be made by 3:00 p.m. You may also call Diane Skelton between 3:00
and 4:00 p.m., at 814-734-5610, extension 8477, to check on the status of an offering. For weekend
classes, the decision to cancel will be made not later than ninety minutes before the offering is to
begin. An offering held at a site other than the IU will automatically be cancelled if the host site has
cancelled school due to inclement weather.
