STRATEGIC PLANNING SUMMARY ADMINISTRATORS’ FORUM RETREAT September 4, 2008
The Administrators Forum met on September 4 to begin the process of revising the College’s Strategic Plan. The ideas shared at the retreat are summarized below and may be helpful as we look forward to developing a strategic plan that will move the College into the future. Three areas may be looked at as we revise our strategic plan: Teaching and learning Communities (external and internal) Resources (financial, human and physical) Open forums will be held at all campus locations over the next few months beginning with the Gresham campus on October 27 from 4-5 p.m., November 18 from noon-1 p.m., and December 12 from noon – 1 p.m. Open forums are being scheduled at the Bruning Center and Maywood Park campus, and those dates will be posted soon. An Executive Team, made up of college, community, and board representatives is being formed to help ensure the College is addressing its communities’ needs. The strategic planning process will be completed by mid-December. The final strategic plan will be presented to the Mt. Hood Community College District Board of Education for consideration at its January 2009 retreat with implementation beginning July 1, 2009.
