The Nature of our business is the Tourism industry. Mapula Lodge fits into the upmarket or luxury sector, catering mostly for the international tourist. Emphasis is on excellent service, quality guiding to ensure best possible game experience, and comfortable accommodation to ensure a certain level of luxury. Due to its location in the delta, Mapula Lodge not only offers a big game experience but also the sought after mokoro activity – almost all year round. Mapula Lodge has eight chalets (16 beds) with 2 guide rooms that can sleep 2 guests each if need be. There is a swimming pool, huge public area with open balcony and lounge, small library, open air bar and curio shop. Mapula Lodge is situated in the north western seasonal floodplains of the Okavango Delta. The concession area is NG12. (12 000 hectares of prime game driving area). Activities year round are morkoro excursions, walking safaris with experienced guides and night drives in search of nocturnal game. All eight chalets are en suite with bathtub and outside shower, private balcony and lounge. Traditional design and use of natural log provide unique detail in a luxurious surrounding. In May2003 President Festus Mogae officially opened the lodge. Ownership of the lodge is part local and part foreign.
