                                                                                We are seeking proactive and highly talented post-doctoral researchers with
                                                                                proven track record of publications in leading international journals and
                                                                                conferences and solid experience preferably in one of the following areas:
                                                                                computational mechanics and numerical methods for PDE (solids and flu-
                                                                                ids), inverse problems, and computational physiology. Candidates should be
                                                                                highly creative, have the ability to carry out independent research but work
                                                                                embedded in a multicultural research team, and should be endowed with
                                                                                excellent communication and leadership skills so as to collaborate with
                                                                                other peers. The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and be able to
                                                                                interact with other disciplines is essential. All applicants should have a
                                                                                strong background in mathematics and physics, algorithmics and program-
                                                                                ming [preferably in C++]. Proficiency in spoken and written English is
                                                                                compulsory. Previous experience in biomedical research will be appreci-

We offer:
           A contract until the end of 2009 (further extendibility is offered provided that the funding for the project was extended), for which the period until the end of
            2007 will be considered as a trial period.
           The salary range will be decided according to the degree, demonstrated experience, expertise and adequateness to the requested profile of the successful candi-
            dates.
             The opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, build a strong publication record as well as to work in the framework of European partnerships and
              opportunities for short/middle-term stays in partner’s institutions.
