									                                    Thank You Letter

         In the following task you will be writing a thank you letter to your hero. This
letter should include your name, your age, and the name of your hero. The letter must
be three paragraphs in length. The following format must be followed:

Paragraph 1: Introduction
             ·Your name and age.
             · Background information about your hero.
Paragraph 2: Body
             · Include 3 or more reasons why you are thankful to your hero.
Paragraph 3: Conclusion
             · Brief summary of main points in letter.
             · Explain how your hero has changed your life.

Your hero: My Mom, Susan

Dear Susan,
        My name is Brittney, and I am thirteen years old. I am a middle school student in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am writing this letter to you to let you know that you are my
        I consider you a hero for many reasons. First of all, you inspire me to do good
things for people. I see all of the wonderful things that you do and I want to be able to do
them too. Second, you have helped me so much when I needed help. You are always
willing to give up your time to help me. Lastly, you make me feel good about myself and
you make me feel proud to be who I am. You help me appreciate and feel comfortable
with myself when I am feeling self-conscious.
        Thank you for being such a wonderful person. You are my hero because you
inspire me to do good things, you help me, and you make me feel good about myself. I
really appreciate the things that you do. You have affected my life in such a positive
way. You make me want to be the best person I can be. I hope I can inspire people like
you have inspired me. Thank you for being my hero.
