6.   Notices of Motion:-

     (a)     Councillor Quigley to move:-

     `That Derry City Council call on bars, off licences and nightclubs
     across the City not to encourage the consumption of alcohol by
     actively advertising or supplying drinks promotions such as buy one
     get one free, happy hours and high alcohol `shots’. In addition Council
     would call on bars, off licences and nightclubs across the City to work
     together in a constructive and positive way to encourage the
     development of a safe and friendly evening economy.

     Further Council would encourage the drinks industry to actively and
     equitably promote the negative aspects as well as the positive aspects
     of consuming alcohol and in particular the health and social impact of
     binge drinking.’

     (b)     Councillor MacLochlainn to move:-

     `Derry City council rejects incineration of our municipal waste as a
     method of waste management and opposes the incineration of
     municipal waste in the Derry City Council.’

     `Diúltaíonn Comhairle Chathair Dhoire do loscadh ár ndramhaíola
     bardasaí mar mhódh bainistiú dramhaíola agus cuireann in aghaidh
     Ioscadh dramhaíola bardasaí I gceantar Chomharile Chathair Dhoire.’
