Qualifications: Tutors in the Learning Center are Meredith students who have excelled in their content area and were recommended by a faculty member who can attest to the student’s knowledge in her content area. Faculty can download the form here or call the Learning Center (760-2800) for a hard copy. Tutors must complete an application and undergo an interview process. Finally, tutors must complete a course, Tutor Training before they can begin work in the Learning Center. The Learning Center specializes in tutoring mathematics, foreign languages, grammar and writing for all subjects. Help in other subjects varies by semester. Responsibilities: • Tutor students in subject of expertise. • Check e-mail and Blackboard on a daily basis to receive information about tutoring sessions and any communication from the directors. • Sign-up students for standing appointments when requested and file appropriate paperwork with the administrative assistant. • Complete Tutor Instructor Reports after each tutoring session to let the professor know was accomplished. • Direct students to the Tutee Evaluation after each tutoring session. • Complete No Show reports for students who do not show up for a scheduled tutoring session. • Attend all Learning Center meetings. • When not tutoring, assist with the reception area responsibilities and/or other projects provided by the directors. • Notify the Learning Center as soon as possible if an absence is necessary. • Keep track of working hours on timesheet. Have it ready to turn in by the last working day of each month. Pay Rate: Grade Level 4

Perform tasks assisting Program Assistant in charge of STAMP, PARTNERS (grants) and Meredith Math and Science Institutes. This will consist of putting together materials for workshops such as notebooks and packets to be mailed out to registrants who will be attending workshops or training sessions. Perform tasks assisting Department Assistant with office duties. Make photocopies, fax documents and assist with mass mailings and perform miscellaneous tasks as needed. Run errands across campus to deliver or pick up materials upon request.
Prefer a worker who is flexible and willing to adapt to constantly changing needs and circumstances. One who is energetic, assertive and has a positive attitude.

Responsibilities: Will assist CMMS Clerk in work order closeout, call-in work order taking, maintenance data entry, filing, message taking, and paperwork/mail distribution, special projects (data gathering, sorting, inventorying). Student should wear casual, comfortable clothing (though still acceptable in a customer service environment) to align with tasks to be performed. Responsibilities: All circulation duties including checking items in and out, renewing items, shelving items, answering general library questions on the phone and at the desk, and any other assistant duties required by staff supervisor. All circulation student workers will work in various areas of the main library and in the off site storage building, arranging and shelving books.
