ROBOCAN INSECT KILLER SAFETY REVIEW 1. HEALTH DEPARTMENT APPROVED: The New Zealand Health Department has approved to use of Robocan in food and patient care areas. 2. SAFE FOR PEOPLE AND PETS: Pyrethrin has been used for hundreds of years to control insects without any known side effects. No allergies are known. The US Department of Agriculture considers pyrethrin to be the safest of all known insect pest control products. The Robocan system uses tiny amounts of aerosol and it dispenses the same amount of spray in 2.5 days, working 24 hours a day, as a can of fly spray does in 5 seconds. It is as effective as a repellent and as a killer of insects. 3. BREATHING PYRETHRIN IS SAFE: It is probably as safe as working in the garden. The American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists have advised a level of 5mg/cu.m is likely to have adverse effects and Robocan uses one thousandth of the level. 4. BENEFICIAL TO ASTHMATICS: Both scientific research and anecdotal evidence shows that the Robocan formula will kill dust-mites, the major cause of asthma reactions, and reduce the incidence of asthma in many people. Research undertaken in Israel and in NZ clearly show that pyrethrin kills dust mites 5. OZONE SAFE 6. ORGANIC: The Robocan formula uses a natural extract of the flower the pyrethrum chrysanthemum. Other ingredients are also essentially organic with piperonyl butoxide extract from the saffras tree being a solvent, synergist and propellant. 7. BIODEGRADABLE: Pyrethrins breakdown rapidly in light. Therefore there is no build-up of insecticide and no residues left on surface, foods etc. 8. MAF AND NRA APPROVED: the NZ Ministry of Agriculture and the Australian Governments National Registration Authority have approved the use of the Robocan Insect Killer formulation as an insect control product. Approved use in export fish and meat processing plant.
