Sir Edmund Herring Shield Status of Event Board Event Format 18 Holes Aggregate Stableford, teams of 2 Trophies Trophies will be awarded to the winning team of two. The winners will also have their names inscribed on the perpetual trophy, the Sir Edmund Herring Shield. Runner-up, third and fourth placegetters will be awarded 4, 3 and 2 balls to each team member, with up to 10 pairs receiving 1 ball per team member. (The normal ball run-down for individuals will not apply. However, normal trophy vouchers for the best single scores in each of A, B and C Grade will apply.) Date Saturday 13 March 2010 Eligibility Open to all 7 day members. Handicaps Handicap of the day applies. Entry Players must enter the Competition of the Day. In addition, members of the same team must record their names on the special Sir Edmund Herring Shield Entry Sheet so that their scores may be aggregated. Ties Ties after 18 holes will be resolved by the Australian Countback System, using the aggregate scores of team members on the relevant holes. Other Rules Team members are NOT partners in this event. Therefore they MUST NOT ask for or give advice during the round — see Rule 8. Completion of Scorecards Although this is a teams event, team members must complete individual score cards as for a normal individual event. Adjustment of handicaps Players’ handicaps will be adjusted following this event. **These conditions may be varied by the Match Committee if deemed necessary.
