					Eucalyptus tricarpa
Description:
Tall tree to 30 metres. It is noted for its
handsome, deeply furrowed, dark brown to
almost black bark, and strong durable timber.
The drooping narrow leaves are grayish green
on both sides, and the showy flowers are
produced in hanging clusters of three through
winter and early spring.


Occurrence:
Central, southern and south-eastern victoria,
from the goldfields areas, south to Anglesea and
south-coast New South Wales as far north as
Araluen.


Cultivation:
Ironbark has been cultivated in most soil types,
including heavy clay to sandy loams.
