He has co-authored papers on the investigation of noise levels in pavement wearing services on the F3 in the 1900’s, and more recently, a paper on a low-noise concrete pavement with exposed aggregate servicing. He was closely involved with the Austroads Guide to the Selection of Road Servicing and the Pavement Rehabilitation Guide. This is a light hearted discussion on the interaction between road/tyre noise, skid resistance and aquaplaning in road surfacing.
