SWEET HOME SCHOOL PTO
An organization created to: Promote the welfare and development of children and youth in home, school, and community. To promote positive relationships between home, school, and community. To fund programs and activities to benefit the school and the students.

What Do We Do?
Helping Students to Invest in Their Future
A major contribution to the students of Sweet Home School, created by the PTO, is the scholarship fund. All students enrolled in pre-K to 8th grade are eligible to sign up. Each year a determined amount is added for each enrolled child throughout all the grades. Those funds are then deposited in a Certificate of Deposit that will be distributed upon graduation from high school. Students may use those funds for college tuition, living expenses, or any other purpose to help them in life. Students help out during their years at Sweet Home and can honestly say they invested in their own future.

The primary goal of the Sweet Home Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to support the school and its students. There are so many ways that contributions are made from purchasing

equipment such as bleachers and magazine subscriptions to teacher appreciation gifts. Each year the organization holds numerous concession stands. Members work and donate to support them. The main fundraiser is the annual Chili Supper where all members work together to host a chili supper as well as raffle, auction, and various children’s games. This event is held in the Sweet Home Community Center the last weekend of January.
