RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION APPROVING EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE TO MASTER LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ASHEVILLE CITY SCHOOLS AND ONTARIO INVESTMENTS -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WHEREAS, The Asheville City Board of Education intends to add an additional Equipment Schedule to its Master Lease Agreement dated July 1, 2006, with Ontario Investments for the lease of NC WISE computer equipment over a four (4) year term for a total amount not to exceed $425,000.00; and WHEREAS, Asheville City Board of Education has budgeted appropriate funds to pay the obligations under this lease schedule for the entire term of the lease; and WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes ยง115C-530 requires that the Board of County Commissioners approve this contract and bind the Board of Commissioners to appropriate sufficient funds in ensuing fiscal years to meet the amounts to be paid under the contract; and WHEREAS, this Board is of the opinion that it is in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the County to approve the lease schedule and appropriate sufficient funds in ensuing fiscal years to meet the amounts to be paid under the contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Buncombe as follows: 1. That the Equipment Schedule dated July 15, 2008, added to the Master Lease Agreement dated July 1, 2006, between The Asheville City Board of Education and Ontario Investments, is hereby approved. That this Board shall appropriate sufficient funds in ensuing fiscal years to meet the amounts to be paid under the contract. That this resolution is effective upon its execution.
