Who should attend?
Anyone who works with children or youth in any capacity (DHR certified training for ALL mandated reporters) DHR-licensed child care providers: training counts toward necessary 10 training hours Educators – Teachers, coaches, counselors, school administrators Faith Community – Clergy, lay leaders working with children or youth Medical Community: Physcians, Nurses, Public Health professionals, Techs and other personnel who work with children or youth. Child advocates and service workers such as CASA staff and volunteers

What will you learn?
1) 2) 3) 4) Definitions of child neglect and abuse How to recognize possible emotional, social & behavioral indicators of abuse How to approach and talk to a victim of neglect and/or abuse Reporting procedures when abuse or neglect is suspected
Participants will earn 2 CEU’s and a certificate for reporting purposes. The training will be led by Dr. David Earnest, one of only two Georgia trainers licensed by DHR.
