                                                                  Worship.

Introduction.
When you are going out to a party that could last well into the morning do you lie to your
parents and say you sleeping over a friend’s house? You convince yourself that you are
bending the truth a little, but you don’t think of it as lying. Your parents give you a little lecture
about what you can and can’t do. You agree with them and tell them that you will obey them.
Then go and disobey them. If they were to find out that you were lying, how do you think they
would feel? Would they be disappointed that you had done it? Would they be even more
disappointed because you lied to them before the party and then covered it up afterwards?
Don’t your parents deserve your honesty, obeying them and not lying to them?



“And they sang in a mighty chorus: ‘The Lamb is worthy – the Lamb who was killed. He is wor-
thy to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.’
And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea.
They also sang: ‘Blessing and honour and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the
throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.’” ~ Revelation 5:12-13

This may lead you into worshipping God, but in itself it is not necessarily worship. Worship is
not a style of music. It is what your life should be, a dynamic, everlasting celebration of God!

Worshiping God is a good thing, you and I were made to Worship. Look at what the bible says;



“A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.” ~ Ecclesiastes 3:4



There are times when you will be happy, times when you will be sad and times when you will
feel nothing. But despite all of this, we can worship God. Worshiping God is something that we
should do no matter what or how we are feeling.


Read Philippians 4:4-7.

The wonderful thing about worshiping God is that even if you are having the worst day in the
world, you can still be full of joy becuase of what Jesus has done for you!

Practice race.
Next time you feel down, think about what Jesus has done for you. There is a time to be sad
and mourn, but you can always return to celebration and worship. Find other believers to
celebrate and worship God with!
Celebrate life, and it’s good things. Enjoy it!
