Job Summary
This position is an integral part of the Accounting Department; ensuring financial transactions
are properly recorded in the general ledger and accounted for in accordance with Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles. The position will be responsible for performing month-end and
year-end close procedures, including journal entries, variance analysis, and preparing financial
and managerial reports.

Primary Responsibilities
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account
   information
• Prepare financial statements and/or special reports by preparing balance sheets, income
   statements, and cash flow reports
• Prepare account information and trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing the
   information
• Prepare up-to-date financials in a timely and accurate manner by applying Generally
   Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”)
• Prepare financials by moving processes from paper environment to online or computer-
   based environment
• Maintain information and review financial transactions by creating and/or monitoring
   electronic files and/or accounting documents
• Maintain accounting ledgers by posting/reviewing and/or approving the posting of account
   transactions, insuring transactions are processed in accordance with policy, applicable laws
   and regulations, and sound business practices
• Prepare and file mandatory monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with the appropriate
   Federal, State, and Local agencies
• Remain flexible enough to assist, as directed, with performing other miscellaneous tasks
   that may arise in the course of daily work schedules
• Support the identification, design, and implementation of office improvements (e.g., annual
   planning process) to eliminate waste in not only Accounting activities but also business
   activities throughout the organization
• Assist the Corporate Controller/CFO on annual financial planning, quarterly reporting and
   tax returns as well as on special projects

Qualifications
•   Minimum of 4 year Degree in Accounting with proven knowledge of cost, general
    accounting, and financial management concepts and techniques through a minimum of 5
    years of experience
•   Accounting experience in Hospitality field and Auditing a plus
•   Communicate effectively verbally/written
•   Self-motivated and able to multitask while consistently meeting deadlines
•   High proficiency with technology and performing accounting functions online in software
    applications in network-based computer environment
•   High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
•   Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills
•   Strong interpersonal skills when relating to individuals at all levels, including managers and
    executives
•   To recommend improvements whenever deemed feasible
•   Recommend, or implement, any change that can improve overall efficiency of accounting
    and reporting practices
•   Project and promote a positive attitude toward the company inside and outside the
    workplace
•   Comply with all company policies and procedures
•   Able to flourish in a team-work setting
