Tour activities can include: main exhibit gallery, the Sculptor’s Studio, temporary exhibitions, and sculpture garden (weather permitting). Please follow these guidelines in order to help us preserve the artworks for future generations and to have an enjoyable visit. • • • Refrain from bringing in any food, drink, or gum into the museum. Refrain from smoking in the building. You must be at least 25 feet away from any university building outside to smoke. Refrain from touching any of the artwork in the museum because oils and salts on hands and fingers can damage the artwork over time. Visitors can touch the bronze sculptures in the sculpture garden and the “Thinker” sculpture just outside the entrance to the museum. Refrain from taking photography of any kind inside the museum. Marshall Fredericks asked that this be enforced. Visitors can photograph the sculptures in the sculpture garden and through the windows in the hallway near the museum. There should always be 2 to 3 feet of space between you and the sculptures in the museum. Visitors are asked not to lean or sit on any pedestals or walk backwards. All backpacks or large bags shall be left in the front of the museum on the counter or floor by the reception desk. Visitors should not carry any pens, pencils, or books into the museum. They can be left at the reception desk while visiting the museum galleries.
