Some 1,800 Sovereign Hills Volunteers will give up their time to support the
2008 Panthers Ironman Triathlon being held in Port Macquarie on 6 April.

Proudly sponsored by the Sovereign Hills development team, the
volunteers will perform a range of duties that make the day successful
from registering athletes to manning drink stations and managing traffic
flow.

Port Macquarie has hosted the annual Ironman and Half Ironman events
for the past three years.

This year, more than 1,800 competitors will participate in the race which
includes a 3.8 kilometre swim, 180.2 kilometre bike-ride and a 42.2
kilometre run.

“The Ironman is a terrific event for the local community and one that puts
Port Macquarie on the map with participants from more than 30
countries,” said Mr Robert Yandell, Director of The Lewis Land Group
developing Sovereign Hills.

“The Sovereign Hills Volunteers are vital to the smooth running of the day
and Sovereign Hills is proud to support them for the third year in a row.”
