MEDIA RELEASE 29 OCTOBER, 2009 LEGENDS TO KICK OFF GRAND FINAL FESTIVITIES A host of former WA football legends will be taking to the field in a curtain raiser to the Flexible Signage Solutions Grand Final on Saturday. The WA Ex‐State & International Masters side will take on a Football West Legends Select side immediately prior to the Grand Final between Perth SC and Western Knights at Clipsal Stadium. The WA Ex‐State & International Masters side travelled to Thailand in April this year for the Seniors World Cup where they made the final against England, however with the old enemy taking a 1‐0 lead into half time, a torrential downpour forced the abandonment of the game and both teams were declared joint winners. The team features former Perth Glory star Bobby Despotovski and is coached by Gary Marocchi, with ex Socceroo Robbie Dunn lining up for the FW legends along with Glory assistant coach Kenny Lowe, former state keeper Willie McNally and former Glory players Ante Kovacevic and Gareth Naven.
