									                                      LETTER OF INTENT
                                     2006-2007 Season

The letter of intent is a document that is signed by a student that wishes to pursue his
collegiate studies in the institution that he/she has signed with.

This letter is intended only for students that will eventually play in the Collegiate AAA
Basketball League.

The colleges that are members of the Collegiate AAA Basketball League must honour
these letters of intent and all recruiting activities towards a student-athlete must cease
the moment a letter of intent is signed. If a student-athlete is contacted by a college
that is a member of the league, he/she must inform them that he/she has already signed
a letter of intent.

After signing the letter of intent, a student-athlete can decide to pursue his/her studies in
a different college than the one with whom he/she has signed the letter. However, if this
is the case, he/she will be subject to the sanctions that are listed in the Specific rules of
the Collegiate AAA Basketball League.

The letter of intent cannot be signed before November 15th of the year preceding the
student’s registration.

Cancellation

A student-athlete can ask for the cancellation of the letter if special circumstances justify.

If this is the case, he/she must forward a written document to the league’s convenor
stating the reasons for his/her request.

The request for cancellation must be accompanied by letters or other documents that
support this demand. A new letter of intent can only be signed in the case the
cancellation is approved by the league’s convenor.

The Letter of Intent becomes nul and void if the student-athlete is not accepted in a
college.

The convenor’s response will indicate, if necessary, the steps or actions to take to finalise
this procedure.

The letter of intent must be forwarded to this address :

                                    Semester Fall of 2006

I hereby confirm that I have been informed of the rules governing the letter of intent. The
letter of intent is official the moment it is signed by the two parties involved. I can decide
to register in another college after signing this letter of intent. However I will do so in
accordance with the league’s specific rules.

If extraordinary circumstances justify it, after May 15th, I will be able to ask for a
cancellation of the letter of intent, by forwarding a request to the convenor of the
Collegiate AAA Basketball League. The procedure for the cancellation is listed in this
document under « cancellation ».

I cannot sign another letter until I receive a confirmation from the league’s convenor that
my first letter is cancelled.

If I am under 18 years of age, the letter must be signed by a parent or tutor.

Since all colleges must honour this signed letter of intent, and therefore cease any
recruitment activity towards me, it is my responsibility to inform them of the fact that I
have already signed a letter.

I am aware that if I do not respect the guidelines of this letter, I could be suspended from
all league activities.
