Undergraduate essay prize 2008/9
St John’s Dermatological Society is launching its first annual undergraduate
essay prize for medical students.



This year’s title for 2008/9 is:

Are we giving the right advice about sunshine to the general public?
Discuss.


The prize of £500 will be presented at the 4th June 2009 meeting of the
Society, and the prize winner will be required to give a short three-minute
power-point presentation of his/her work. The winning essay will be
published on the Society’s website.
Submission deadline: 1st March 2009
Applications must be submitted with a certificate of originality
The Society is establishing an annual undergraduate essay prize in an
attempt to improve the understanding of skin disease and to stimulate an
interest in following a career in dermatology.
The Prize is open to all medical students studying in Britain and Ireland.

Words: max 1,000 excluding any references and illustrations/tables

Judging The Society’s Council will decide the winning entry.


*A certificate of originality must be submitted with the entry or the
submission will be eliminated.
