I F S A P P L I C A T I O N S ™ IFS/Service Contract Management IFS/Service Contract Management™ enables all service providers to ensure the right level of service at the right price—as agreed with their customers. With this module, they can invoice each service job separately, weekly/monthly/yearly (or any other specified time period), at a fixed price or any combination of these, according to the contract. The service level for every service object, such as response times or total repair times, can be specified as agreed. The system will react and check the type of service as it has been specified in the service contract. If the contracted level of service is not fulfilled, alerts can be automatically generated to initiate appropriate actions. It is possible to have one or more service contracts per customer; each of the service contracts can consist of different agreements. This allows the service level, pricing, invoicing and preventive maintenance to be specified differently between service objects. ™ Customer-specific pricing and discounts Customer-specific pricing as well as discounts can be specified in the contract for any type of service, for tools and for spare parts, when they are sold on a sales order or when they have been used during the service. Pricing and discounts can be determined for every single part or on a grouped part level. The system automatically generates the specified prices and discounts for each service job included in the contract. Service outside the contract will be handled in a normal manner, using standard prices. The information is available to technicians, call center personnel, management and the customer. • Alerts are generated if a specified service level is exceeded. Flexible invoicing • Dates and frequency for invoicing of service contracts, rentals or other recurring service charges can be specified according to the payment plan. Service contract analysis • Profitability of service contracts and compliance with agreed service levels can easily be seen in graphs or scorecards. • More detailed analysis is available by drilling down to the individual service order that may have caused a discrepancy. • Specify maximum service cost for a given time period with cap price agreements. When the specified amount is reached, no more invoices are created for the period. En0904-1 Production: CMC, February 2002.
