Gutter repair TOOL LIST I Caulking gun I Cold chisel I Drill and bits I Hacksaw I Hammer I Ladders and planks I Rivet gun I Spirit level I Stringline I Tape measure I Tin snips MATERIALS LIST I Gutter length (continuous is available) I Gutter brackets I Stop-ends (left and right) I Spouts (outlets) I Downpipe lengths I Downpipe offsets (optional) I Internal angle bracket I External angle bracket I Astragals (downpipe wall brackets) I 40mm galvanised twist nails or 25mm screws I 2mm rivets I Roof gutter silicone I Touch-up paint I Leaf Guard (optional) GUTTER TIPS I Do not install galvanised gutters with Zincalume steel or Colorbond pre-painted roofs. I Do not use lead flashings with Zincalume steel or Colorbond gutters. I Downpipe spacing and size should be in accordance with AS 2180-1986. I Always remove ‘swarf’ (metal filings) to prevent staining and corrosion. I Remove the protective plastic film prior to gutter installation.
