					Fountain Grass
A native of Africa, this attractive, densely clumping, feathery grass is another garden
plant that has become an environmental weed. Fountain grass is an aggressive, colonizer
that out competes native plants and re-establishes easily after burning.
Growing less than a metre, the flowers of this perennial plant are pink or purple on a
long feathery spike. The seed of fountain grass is transported by wind and water or
carried on clothing and in dumped garden waste.
