This policy is underwritten by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, arranged by Click4Quote Ltd, trading as Click4Quote.Com through HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited. 3. This is a travel insurance policy covering any number of single trips for mariners up to the maximum duration as stated on the policy schedule. 4. 5. General Conditions: • The principal reason for taking a policy must be for mariners’ needs. 6. Exclusions and Limitations: • No single trip for non-mariner’s needs may exceed 31 days. No mariner’s needs single trip may exceed 35 days in total. • An excess of £100 will usually apply to all claims within sections 2, 4 and 5. • This Insurance excludes any trip that is booked or commenced contrary to medical advice or after receipt of a terminal prognosis or wholly or partly for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment or convalescent care. • There is no cover for any medical condition which has been suffered, or for which medical advice, treatment or medication has been received within the 12 months prior to the date of issue of this Policy or where You are on a hospital waiting list for in-patient treatment. You must contact Us prior to effecting this insurance. Cover for these conditions will only be provided following Our acceptance. • There is no cover for any claim connected with pregnancy within two months of the estimated date of delivery. • There is no cover for any claim attributable to any medical condition or set circumstances know to You at the time that the Insurance was effected or at the time that the Period of Travel was booked, whichever is the later, where such condition or circumstances could reasonably have been expected to give rise to cancellation or curtailment of the Period of Travel. • There is no cover for Personal Baggage left unattended unless left locked in Your personal accommodation, or left locked in the glove compartment or boot of a vehicle, but excluding any loss of Personal Baggage left overnight in such vehicle. • There is no cover for claims in any way cause or contributed to by Nuclear reaction, Nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination. • There is no cover for claims in any way cause or contributed to by War; invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), any act of terrorism, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation or nationalism or requisition of or destruction or damage to property under the order of any government or local authority or radioactive contamination of any description however caused.

In certain circumstances, we reserve the right to increase the policy excess, or apply other endorsements, or ask you to fulfil some other requirements. In these cases, we will give you prior notification, and full information will be given on the policy schedule. Pre-existing medical conditions definition A pre-existing medical condition is any medical condition which has been suffered, or for which medical advice, treatment or medication has been received within the 12 months prior to the date of issue of this Policy or where You are on a hospital waiting list for in-patient treatment. The details must have been disclosed recently, and such disclosure pertains only to this policy. Any subsequent policies will require a new disclosure to be made, even the renewal of an existing policy for which a disclosure may previously have been given. Policy Duration: This policy will last for one year from the inception date stated on the schedule, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing. 8. Your right to Cancel: If this policy does not meet your needs, you have the right to cancel it. Please write to us at the above address to tell us that you no longer require cover. You should do so within 14 days of receipt of the insurance documentation. Please return the policy schedule marked 'Cancelled'. If you exercise your right to cancel, a full return of premium will be given; the policy regarded as not taken up by you and cancelled from inception. 9. 10. What to do if you have a complaint: It is our intention to provide a high level of service at all times. If, however, you have reason to make a complaint about our service, we have internal procedures for handling complaints fairly and promptly. Lloyd’s insurers are covered by the Financial Services Authority’ Compensation Scheme. You may be entitled to compensation from the Scheme if a Lloyd’s insurer is unable to meet its obligations to you under this contract. If you were entitled to compensation under the Scheme, the level and extent of the compensation would depend on the nature of this th contract. Choice of Law and Language: The parties to this insurance can choose the law that applies to it. We have chosen the laws of England to apply. Under the terms and conditions of this policy, we have chosen to use the English language in all documents and communication relating to this policy.
