                                                                                                                                                            quantity of recyclate collected from
                                                                                                                                                            households. Paper and glass account for
                                                                                                                                                            80% of the materials collected and further
                                                                                                                                                            analysis has shown that glass tonnages
                                                                                                                                                            remain stable but paper tonnages have
                                                                                                                                                            reduced. Work is going on to try to identify
                                                                                                                                                            the causes of this, for example a wider
                                                                                                                                                            drop in the purchase of newspaper and
                                                                                                                                                            magazines. These two PIs provides the
                                                                                                                                                            same information as the new national
                                                                                                                                                            indicator NI192 (proportion of household
                                                                                                                                                            waste recycled and composted). Now the
                                                                                                                                                            data collection processes for the new NI
                                                                                                                                                            have embedded it is proposed that the 7Page
