All praise is due to ALLAH, our sustainer and our cherisher. We praise him, we
ask Allah for his aid, his guidance and his forgiveness. We ask ALLAH refuge
from the evils within ourselves and the wrong of our deeds. Whomever ALLAH
guides, no one can mislead, and whomever ALLAH allowed to go astray, no
one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but ALLAH, and I bear
witness that Mohammad is his last messenger. Allah sent him as a mercy to
mankind, by him ALLAH has opened blind eyes, deaf ears, and cladded
chests. He left us on a clear platform, it is clear by night as it is by day,
whoever distant himself from it is doomed.

                                                                                                                   :‫أِب ثؼد‬

Verily, the most and absolute truthful speech is the book of ALLAH and the
best guidance and way of life is that of prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and his
sunnah. The most noble death is that of a martyr, the best knowledge is
which benefits, the upper hand is better than the lower hand. The worst of
earnings are that of usuries (Riba). Abusing a Muslim is wickedness, killing
him is Kufr, and back biting him is eating his flesh. The most evil of affairs are
the novelties in religion ("Mohdathat"), for every "Mohdathah" is a bid'aa
(innovation in religion), and every bid'aa is a misguidance and every
misguidance is in Hell.

Brethren, every human sins, and the best of sinners are those who repent,
return to the right straight path with remorse. The repenting from sin is like
that who hasn't committed it. Therefore, all of you who believe repent to
ALLAH so you may succeed.

                         Rights that must be observed!
In shaa' ALLAH, in this khutbah we will talk about the following topics pertaining to
the predefined "Rights" in the Qur'an and Sunnah:-
 Why do we need to observe, and Implications of otherwise
       Types of different Rights
 Discussion of one of these rights

I- Why do we need to observe our Rights, and Implications of
  otherwise

A- It is the command of ALLAH and his messenger. If there were no other
   reasons, this is sufficient

Topics:-
1- Definition of Taqwa, Linguistically and Conventionally (shariah convention)
   2- Haqq Attaqwa
   3- Characteristics of the Pious
   4- Fruits of Taqwa

Definition of Taqwa
Linguistically, the word Taqwa is the noun of "Etteqaa" from root "Etteqaa2", which is the protection of
something from anything that may inflict some sort of harm on it

Shar3ann, it is what the Muslim should do to protect himself from what can harm him, at most, what can
lead to the wrath of ALLAH (SWT)

Ibn ALmoezz asked Abou Hurayra about the Taqwa, he replied by asking have you walked on a rout that
has a lots of thorns?, Ibn aLmoezz said yes, then Abou Horayra said, what did you do, Ibn Elmoezz said
carefully watched out and avoided the thorns, and carefully chosen where to put my feet, do not
undermine your sins, mountains are from small pebbles

Aly said "Taqwa" is: Applying the Quran, fearing ALLAH, Preparing for the day of departing, and being
satisfied with what you have been given by ALLAH even if it is little or seem to be unpleasant"

Al-Hassan Albasry said "The Taqwa is not fasting the day, and praying all night, but it is leaving,
avoiding, abstaining from what ALLAH has forbidden, and on the other hand performing what he has
ordained to perform. i.e. to find you where he wants you to be and misses you from where he wants you
   not to be

Haqq of Taqwa

Wa3azana Rasoul ALLAH maw3eza baleegha, they asked for advise, he said "ettaqo
ALLAH"

In Tirmidhi, "Ya Moaz ettaqy ALLAH 7aythoma kont, wa atbe3 assay2ah belhasan tam7oa,
wa khaleq annas with kholoq Hasssan"

Khutbat Aljomaa must meet certain criteria, one of which is Advising of Taqwa

Mention 3 examples of Taqwa verses from Quran. (Fattaqoo ALLAH ma estata3tom)

Haqq ALLAH
Reasons behind our delay in standing up to
                    Haqq ALLAH

To be able to perform our duties towards ALLAH (SWT), we need to identify (after we
know what is the Haqq of ALLAH) the major reasons behind the barriers that we and Satan
put between us and performing these duties.
Like when we go to the doctor who diagnoses the disease first. After we identify the
disease and the causes of the sickness, we can work on curing the disease, and more
importantly protecting ourselves as much as we can from getting sick again.
The major reasons behind our negligence, sleepiness, laxness, carelessness delay of
repentance and remorse, and also decrease of our level of Iman, are:-
               1- Long-lasting hopes, plans and expectations (t6ool al-2amal)
2- Feeling secure from ALLAH's wrath
               3- The Bad company
               4- Excessive Food
               5- Excessive Sleep

    1. Long-lasting hopes and expectations (ًِ‫)طٛي األ‬

                                             
  
 Hejr (1-3)

Alif Lam Raa. These are the verses of Revelation,- of a Qur'an that
makes things clear. It may be that those who disbelieve wish
ardently that they were Muslims. Let them eat and enjoy life, and
let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know!

Having and being busy with Long-lasting hopes is the main reason behind delaying
repentance and remorse to ALLAH (SWT), it makes our minds busy with building future
plans, forgetting death and loving the worldly-life. Forgetting death and Loving the worldly-
 life is behind every sin

Some scholars took from Aly bin Aby Taleb, "Every sin we commit is from loving the
worldly-life, This love is from forgetting death, forgetting death is from the hardness and
rust-ness of the heart and the hardness of the heart is from long lasting hopes"

Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) saw one of the companions with a small goat, Prophet
Mohammad (PBUH) asked him about it, the companion said "I bought it on 2-months
installments", Prophet Mohammad replied, Ooh, you have long hopes !
So fear and shorten your hopes, this world is not a place of eternity.

   2. Feeling secure from ALLAH's wrath(‫)األِبْ ِٓ ِىش اهلل‬
Feeling secure from ALLAH's wrath is the language of every heedless person. You do not
find a person who says and feels that he is safe on the day of judgment except being
ignorant, negligent, heedless and inevitably a looser.

Look at Surat ALKahf (18:34-36)

                 
                                       
                                             
And he had fruit. And he said unto his comrade, when he spake with
him: I am more than thee in wealth, and stronger in respect of men.
And he went into his garden, while he (thus) wronged himself. He
said: I think not that all this will ever perish. I think not that
the Hour will ever come, and if indeed I am brought back unto my
Lord I surely shall find better than this as a resort.

And check how ALLAH (SWT) described the Jews in surat Albaqara (2:80)

                                                 
And they say: The Fire (of punishment) will not touch us save for a
certain number of days. Say: Have ye received a covenant from Allah
- truly Allah will not break His covenant - or tell ye concerning
Allah that which ye know not?

While you find the real winner's and the wise person's language is always about fear of
ALLAH combined with trust in his mercy, self-accountability and pursue of ways to increase
the level of Iman and Obedience to ALLAH (SWT)

Here is Abou Bakr, and you all know Abou Bakr, he said "I won’t feel secure from ALLAH's
wrath even if one of my legs is already in Jannah"

Although Prophet Mohammad said "Omar is the first person to take his book with his right
hand", companions asked, how about Abou Bakr, where is he, Prophet Mohammad replied,
"do you want Abou Bakr to stand in a queue!"
Prophet Mohammad also said that only one person will be called on the day of judgment
loudly, in front of all, with "Ya Ayoutaha Annafs almotma2enna…." He said "it is you Abou
Bakr"

All that because ABou Bakr always hold himself accountable.

Likewise Omar when he was not sure if he was considered among the 17 hypocrates of
Medina.

                
                                                                     
Attour (52:25-27)

And some of them draw near unto others, questioning, Saying: Lo!
surely we feared before on account of our families: But Allah hath
been gracious unto us and hath preserved us from the torment of the
breath of Fire.

Imam Hassan Al-basry used to see a young man always laughing, he called him and asked
"Have you been notified that death will reach you?" The young man said yes, he asked,
"Have you been notified that you will enter Jannah" he said "no", then he sad "why do you
always laugh then?"

"Plenty of laughter hardens the heart" Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said)

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) also said: "ALLAH does not give anyone both the feel of
security and the fear combined. Whoever feel secure in this life, he will be afraid on
hereafter, and whoever holds imself accountable in this worldly-life, he will be safe in the
hereafter"

Therefore indeed….

                                   
                                                                
                                                                                          
AL-A3RAF (7:99)

Are the people of the townships then secure from the coming of Our
wrath upon them as a night-raid while they sleep? Or are the people
of the townships then secure from the coming of Our wrath upon them
in the daytime while they play? Are they then secure from Allah's
scheme? None deemeth himself secure from Allah's scheme save folk
that perish.

    3. The Bad Company (‫) الصحبه السيئة‬
"Enna Assa7eb Sa7eb". The bad companion will drag his companion to loss with him like a
scabietic sick person transfers his disease to a healthy person.

"Tell me who is your friend, I tell you who you are". Bird with the same feather fly
together, pigeons with pigeons, eagles with eagles, hawks with hawks, and birds with the
same feather fly together.

The bad companion invites you to hell fire, will throw you in there if you answered him

                                        
Thus have We made unto every prophet an adversary - devils of

Prophet Muhamamd said "The likeness of a good companion and the bad companion is like
the seller of the musk and furnace blower. As for the seller f musk, you either buy from
him, or he would give yo a gift or at least you smell a good scent from distance. While the
furnace blower (nafekh alkeer) will either burn your clothes or smell an awful smell from
him" narrated by Abou Mousa and collected by Bukhari

The story of abou mo3yed and the verse below

AL-Forqan (25:27-29)

And the day when the unjust one shall bite his hands
saying: O! would that I had taken a way with the
Messenger Alas for me! Ah, would that I had never taken
such an one for friend! He verily led me astray from the
Reminder after it had reached me. Satan was ever man's
deserter in the hour of need.
Abou Horayra narrated in a hdeeth collected by Imam At-termidhi "The
person is on the religion of his friend/companion, so you watch out for whom
you take as friends"

   4. Excessive Eating
Imam Hassan Al-basry was sitting with some students, teaching them. Somehow the topic
of food came into discussion. One of the students told him that a member of his family
eats only once a day. The Imam said "The is a characteristic of Sideeqeen". Another
student said that a member in his family eats twice a day, the imam said "this is a
characteristic of believers". Another student said that a member in his family eats 3 times a
day, the imam paused and said "send him a stock feeder"!

Prophet John the Baptist said to Satan once "Have you ever been able to fool me or win
something from me?" The satan said, yes only once, you sit on a table of food, so I
managed to make you enjoy it more and more, so you ate a lot and you slept and you did
not pray at all that night". Prophet Yahya replied "La jaram, I will never eat to satisfaction
again", satan said "I will never give any advice to a human again"

The story of Ash3ab and the hadeeth of Salem.

Whoever eat a lot, sleeps a lot, remember less, regret a lot.

Prophet Mohammad was holding a stone on his stomach from hunger on the day of the
battle of dungeon.

Prophet Mohammad said "The son of adam never filled a container worse than his
stomach" narrated by Almiqdam and collected by Ahmed and Attermidhi

   5. Excessive Sleeping

As mentioned earlier, excessive food leads to excessive sleepiness, laziness
and laxness.

Mention the dream of Ibn Omar.

Fruit of ta3ah, praying two raq3as before Fadjr.
