Keywords: Article Body: Breathing is something that is vita l to life. It is something we all d o and need to do constantly to enab le us to live. If you are not doing it now then I’m sorry but you cann ot continue to read this, as you ar e dead. This article is not about breathing though; it is about what we breath e. Well, that is obvious, air. Yep, but let us, for a minute, think ab out what may be in the air we breat he. Apart from the components of air su ch as oxygen, which is the bit we n eed, the air you breathe is full of other particles and you need to th ink about an air purifier to filter these potentially harmful particle s out of the air or in other words purify the air. I am sure you have seen sunlight coming through you wi ndows and when you are at a certain angle you have seen dust particles floating in the air. You breathe t hese in unless you can use an air p urifier to remove them or hopefully most of them. Its not only dust th ough, people and animals drop flake s of dead skin which is why you nee d an air purifier. Tobacco smoke pr oduces particles of smoke, which is why you need an air purifier, and vehicles also produce particles of smoke from their engines, which is why you need an air purifier. So what do air purifiers do? Quite simply they filter the air that you breathe near to them. They help to purify the air and remove airborne particles. There are many differen t types of air purifiers and these can be systems designed to purify a ll the air in your entire house dow n to small systems which work in a single room. They filter out all so rts of things such as smoke, dust a nd particles of dust and dead skin from your pets. Just remember thoug h, they cannot filter out all parti cles but they can purify the air fa irly well. There is another type of air purifi er, the HEPA type which can filter out particles down to 3 microns in size and can catch 99.9% of these p articles. HEPA stands for High Effi ciency Particulate Arrestance purif iers. There are also ozone air purifiers but some people have suggested that these may not be good for you. I d o not have the answer to this but u ntil I am convinced of their useful ness, I will stick to an HEPA filte r. Before you buy your air purifier yo u need to make sure it suits your n eeds so make sure you carry out int ernet research and check manufactur ers brochures. Whatever you decide though, there is nothing to beat ha ving a look at one and seeing it op erating before you buy. Remember, t here is nothing worse than buying a n air purifier only to find out it is so noisy that you cannot be in t he same room when your air purifier is operating.
