What School Administrators say about using your e-Portfolio:
The e-Portfolio is a new way to think about and pursue your job search when you know how to use it effectively. At this year's state HR conference School district HR staff recommended that you: 1. Select particular parts that illustrate things that are important in your teaching. (VERY IMPORTANT) 2. Use it to talk about your teaching. Don't expect them to "thumb through it." 3. Use it: refer to the standards in answering application questions, refer to it in cover letters, in interviews, leave promotional cards at the interview or at job fairs. 4. Get it ready: check content for conciseness, logical organization and navigation; proof for grammar, spelling, and succinctness. Don't forget to make an appointment with an EPCS consultant to print a sample to use during interviews or job fairs. Remember to put your link in WECAN and refer to it in your personal statement. Learn more about using your e-portfolio at: http://careers.education.wisc.edu/portfolio/Promotion.htm
