ALL EMPLOYEES must arrive at least 10 minutes before they are scheduled to start work. This is a job. Dress appropriately for you position. Even though it is a summer camp, and we are in a very relaxed atmosphere, you always need to be mindful of what (and how) you are saying to other counselors, campers, and parents. All discussions that take place during camp hours on camp grounds need to be done with a very professional attitude. If you cannot come on a certain day the Camp Director must be notified at least one week prior. If you are going to be late, and you did not know this in advance, the Director needs to be called IMMEDIATELY after you discover this – no matter what time. PLEASE do not just show up late. Your pay will be docked for such behavior. Whenever bathrooms are used, campers must be escorted by a counselor and the counselor needs to make sure that there is adequate toilet paper, paper towel, and soap, and also make sure that the counters and floors are clean and dry. At the end of camp, awards will be given out to the top performing counselors. Counselors will be judged based on their performance and professionalism.
