FFC LANT DAILY SCHEDULE Friday, 19 May 2006 0800-1300 Staff check-in and set up of admin building 1300 Staff Meeting 1300-1600 Armory open for check-in of weapons 1400-1700 Limited Technical Inspections (LTI) will be conducted on personally owned firearms at the right rear door of the NSWC Crane van. 1300-1900 Check in at Pistol Range and working parties for target preparation 1400 Range Safety Officer Training by USMC Range Det (must be E6 or above) 1530 Block Official Training and expectations by Pistol and Rifle Directors Saturday, 20 May 2006 0700 Staff Meeting 0730-0800 Check in and working parties as needed 0730-0900 Van gear issue (LT Chris Broussard/CWO4 Gerry Yarrow) to competitors who need equipment for afternoon training sessions 0730-0900 Limited Technical Inspections (LTI) will be conducted on personally owned firearms at the right rear door of the NSWC Crane van.. 0800 to 0845 Late registration/Stand-by list check-in 0900-0930 Greetings from Match Director, staff introduction (at the bleachers by the Armory) 0930-1000 Mandatory safety brief at bleachers next to the Armory (Safety Officer, XO take muster-written attendance) 1000-1200 For new shooters: mandatory training on range and match operations will be conducted for the rifle phase at the bleachers. NSWC Crane rifles available for check out from the Crane van. Armory open to check out weapons for training session. Group A report to bleachers with rifle gear for dry-fire training. If you want to use personal weapons, you must check them out of the armory during normal armory hours. Group B report to Pistol Range for training with pistol/gear and 15 rounds of live fire Groups SWAP training areas from rifle to pistol/pistol to rifle Group B report to bleachers with rifle gear for dry-fire training. If you want to use personal weapons, you must check them out of the armory during normal armory hours. Ammo will be issued on the line. Each shooter will fire 15 rounds Slow Fire at 25 yards. Time limit will be 10-15 minutes. Shooters will fire on a Blank (no bullseye) target. The emphasis will be on safety, weapons familiarity, sight alignment and trigger control. Both pistol ranges will be used and set up for 25 yards. Coaches will be used in a ratio of 1 to 4 shooters. If more coaches are available we will adjust the ratio.
