Alaska-Siberia World War II Lend Lease Memorial Plaza Dedication
The Alaska-Siberia Research Center and the Fairbanks North Star Borough are planning a forthcoming event on: Friday, August 19, 2005 at 4:40 p.m. It will be the dedication to: World War II Lend-Lease Memorial Plaza in the Griffith Park, 1st Avenue and Cushman St. in Fairbanks, Alaska. This will be followed by a Reception at: Lavelle's Bistro Restaurant located just across the street in the Springhill Suites 575 1st Avenue. Governor Frank Murkowski, Russian Ambassador to the United States Yuri V. Ushakov, Russian Council General Vladimir Volnov, and Senior Counselor Boris Marchuk will be attending along with Representatives from Edmonton, Canada and Nome, Alaska, Veterans Organizations and other dignitaries will be attending.
