Introduction 1.1 Objectives of the project Brand building seminar aims to introduce our members and public how successful companies build up their brand and maintain their brand. Next year, the focus of JCIHK is brand building. Through the valuable experience sharing, members could learn more from the famous brands and make use of the technique in their chapter or own work. SMEs could also learn from the large companies and make improvement in their own brand building. 1.2 Introduction of Junior Chamber International Hong Kong With more than 1,200 members from all walks of life in Hong Kong, the Junior Chamber International Hong Kong (Formerly known as "Hong Kong Junior Chamber") is a nonprofit making organization dedicated to developing leadership potentials among young people. The Hong Kong Junior Chamber represent a network of highly-motivated and forward-looking young people between the ages of 18 and 40 who come together to under a common mission: " to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change". Since its establishment in 1950, the Hong Kong Junior Chamber has proactively responded to challenges in the community, helping to generate awareness on important social and economic issues which have an impact on our daily lives.? The organization's objectives are carried out through the "Four Areas of Opportunity", namely Individual; Community; International; and Business.     Individual Through various leadership training programs, members develop valuable skills such as goal setting, time-management, public speaking, parliamentary procedures, protocol, etc., thereby equipping them with necessary techniques to become future leaders of the community. Community Through various community development programs, members identify social needs and issues, and develop projects to improve the well-being of the community. Awareness and sensitivity on community problems are thus enhanced. International Through a network of 200,000 Junior Chamber members in more than 100 countries around the world, members gain valuable international exposure, develop international friendship, and derive awareness on cross-border, cross-culture issues. Business Members can pursue personal business interests through the National Business Network as well as worldwide international networking activities. Each year, various business seminars and contact sessions are organized by the National Business Network. Page 1 Brand Building Seminar Junior Chamber International Hong Kong 2. Project Planning 2.1 Project Summary Seminar will be held to introduce and share how to establish a brand. Famous compaines are invited to share their valuable experience. The seminar is opened to members as well as to public. Local chapters are invited to host the project. The first seminar will be held on 18 Feb, 2006 in one of the section of the Joint Board Directors meeting. The seminar would be around 1 hour. Target of Participants JC members and Publics. Target participants are around 200. Promotion method is through email and cooperation organization. Position and Responsibilities A project team will be established to work on this project with the followng posts: Chairman : - conduct meetings in a fair and proper manner; - allocate jobs among committee members - oversee execution of the project/task; - manage and supervise the committee; - liaise with all parties concerned; - offer back-ups to committee members; - ensure the finalization of statement of account of the project; - report the progress of project to NOM and chapter’s Board of Directors Secretary : - prepare agenda and minutes before and after meeting; - record important issues discussed and decision made during meeting; - Compile project file and keep all relevant documents Promotion: - devise strategy to promote the event; - design and draft circular and promotional leaflet; - visit LOM MFG and other functions for promotion. Treasurer and Sponsor: - prepare budget and manage the financial account of the project; - monitor the expenses and ensure they are within the budget; - keep records of expenses and income; - collect list of sponsors and solicits for sponsorship. Program: - design rundown of the program - invite proposed speakers and judges; - provide details of rundown to speakers and participants. Logistics and Venue Page 2 Brand Building Seminar Junior Chamber International Hong Kong - booking and confirmation of venue; - site visit and provide details of facilities; - devise list of materials required; - design and control the set-up of the venue. Public Relation and Registration - devise strategy to promote to the general public; - liaise with other JC members as well as to the general public - maintain list of registration and report to the committee - communicate with mass media and follow-up with outward promotion. 2.2 Project Schedule and Time Table 12/2005  Set the project target and objectives  1st Project OC Meeting  Appointment of OC  Set project name, time, Location and Planning  Prepare invitation letter to speaker, cooperation organization and sponsors  Finalize the cooperation means with cooperation organization 1/2003  Understand the progress with the cooperation organization  Understand the progress with the sponsor  Contact with speakers and following the speech content or requirement of equipment  Project Budget  Finalize Venue  Finalize promotion means and leaflet.
