Checklist: Business case
These checklists should be used in conjunction with the supporting information and guidance on the Developing Community Hospitals website. You can use this checklist to produce a business case.

Can you explain how you arrived at your preferred option? Have you agreed a timetable for the new development, setting out the concurrent and consecutive stages? Have you agreed the philosophy and aims for the new service? Have you agreed admission criteria? Have you agreed who can refer to the service? Do you have a recruitment timetable, including job descriptions, induction and training? Have you considered how to manage the services that may be displaced, even temporarily, by the development? Have you agreed how to evaluate the new service? Have you set out how you will publicise the new service? Yes/No Action
