							             Dental Defenders vs. Cavity Creeps

Scene 1:
Open on an exterior shot of a white, subtly tooth-shaped
building against a black sky.

Super:
Dental Defenders Secret Headquarters

Camera gets closer and transitions to an interior shot. As
it does, a girl’s body flies by the camera. Pull back to
reveal room.

Super:
Break Room

The room is large, with a mixture of high-tech equipment,
computer screens and comfortable seats. Inside are three
teenagers: a girl (Princess Rinse) is skateboarding around
the room, a boy (Fantastic Flosser) is reading a thick book
in a comfortable chair, and another boy (Captain
Toothpaste) is eating an apple.

PR rides her skateboard down a banister, builds up speed,
then jumps high in the air: she flies completely over FF –
who calmly turns the page without even looking at her –
lands on her skateboard and comes to a flashy stop.

CT:
You’re getting pretty good. You didn’t even break anything
this time.

FF (loudly):
Awesome!

PR (bowing as if to a large audience):
Thank you, thank you. I didn’t think you were watching, FF.

FF:
Huh? I wasn’t. This is what’s awesome. (Holds up book,
titled “Fantastic Facts About Teeth.”) Did you know there
are more bacteria in your mouth than there are people in
the whole world?

CT (sarcastically):
Fascinating.
PR rides her skateboard casually around the room, trying
out a few tricks, then suddenly stops at a window. She
points to something outside and turns to the others.

PR:
Chill time’s over, guys. It’s the Dental Distress Call.

Outside the window is a tooth-shaped beacon lighting up the
night sky.

CT’s computer screen, and all the other screens in the
room, flash ATTACK and alarms start sounding.

CT:
The teeth are in trouble!

The three rush to their lockers, which resemble large
versions of bathroom medicine cabinets. As they open the
doors, we see a huge tube of Crest toothpaste and an Oral-B
brush; an oversized container of Crest floss; and a mammoth
bottle of Crest rinse, respectively. As CT straps the
toothpaste on like a backpack, there is a flash of light
and he transforms into a superhero.

Super or VO:
Captain Toothpaste

The same thing happens to the other boy as he straps on the
floss:

Super or VO:
Fantastic Flosser

And to the girl as she straps on the rinse:

Super or VO:
Princess Rinse

CT:
Dental Defenders to the rescue!

A tooth-shaped skylight window opens and the three
superheroes fly through it using rockets built into their
Crest packs.
Scene II
The Dental Defenders fly through inky blackness and land in
what appears to be a huge cavern. It soon becomes clear
that it is in fact the inside of a mouth.

PR:
What are we waiting for?

FF:
Cool your jets, Princess. We need to find out what we’re
getting into.

CT:
And we’ve got just the thing to show us. Ready the
SuperTabs…and launch.

The Defenders take red tabs out of their utility belts and
throw them in unison toward the teeth. There is a red flash
and the Cavity Creeps are revealed. The areas on the teeth
that were not properly brushed are also revealed. The red
fades within a few seconds.

PR:
It’s the Cavity Creeps!

CT:
And they’ve been busy. Look at all the plaque their
bacteria has created already.

Scene III

A small army of Cavity Creeps attack the teeth with the
plaque jackhammers and bacteria blasters. Action montage to
the tune of “The Plaque Attack Song.”

Plaque attack, plaque attack, when we come we come to
stay
Plaque attack, plaque attack, we can ruin your whole
day
We attack the teeth, we attack the gums
And believe us, that’s not any fun

We coat your teeth and chip away
       Creating terrible decay
Till the brightest smile ever seen
       Turns rotten, stinky and unclean
[Plaque attack, plaque attack, when we come we come to
stay
Plaque attack, plaque attack, we can ruin your whole
day]
       Ya ha ha!

FF:
If you blow off brushing, the Cavity Creeps will use the
bacteria in your mouth to create plaque. And if you eat
sweets or drink soda, the sugar makes things worse. That’s
when decay really takes hold and sets you up for cavities.
Here, see for yourself.

He points to the screen he wears on his arm, which shows a
kid with a nice bright smile that changes to a rotten,
stinky smile.

CT:
Look! They’ve started a cavity.

Cut back to the Creeps. The Creep commander leads a cheer
as a cavity starts to form on a tooth.

PR:
I’ve seen enough!

She flies toward the Cavity Creeps by herself.

CT:
Wait!

PR goes in blasting her rinse weapon and washes a few
Creeps away. They quickly form ranks and hit her with
volleys from their bacteria blasters. She is soon covered
in disgusting goo and clearly in trouble.

CT:
Get her out of there, Flosser!

FF uses his floss like a rope and lassos PR from a safe
distance. He and CT then pull her back to their former
location.

PR (wiping off goo):
Thanks, guys. This is…so…gross!
Scene IV:

As each team member speaks, visuals illustrate their plan.

CT:
Rinse is cool, Princess, but it’s not enough by itself.
We’ve got to work together. I’ll go in first with my super-
powered fluoride toothpaste and specially designed brush.
I’ll brush the fronts of the teeth with short strokes; then
the backs, up and down; then I’ll brush the tops. And
finally the tongue. That’ll shake those Creeps up.

Supers:
Brush for at least two minutes, twice a day.

FF:
Some Creeps may still be hiding in there, so I’ll work my
super-strong floss between the teeth and move it gently up
and down. That’ll reach a lot more of each tooth than
brushing alone. Then it’s your turn, Princess.

Super:
Ask your parents for help if you need it.

PR:
Right. My super-powered rinse will wash away nasty germs
that can cause plaque. It’ll keep your breath from smelling
putrid, too.

Super:
Spit out the rinse; don’t swallow it.

CT, FF and PR together (putting hands together in Crest
Power Shake):
It’s Sparkle Time!

Scene V:

The Crest Superheroes go into action, working together to
overcome the Creeps. The action montage is to the tune of
“It’s Sparkle Time.”

When you want your teeth to be their best
            White and free of grime
This is all you have to do:
Say it’s Sparkle Time, oh yeah, it’s Sparkle Time

First you brush, then you floss, then you rinse
            Twice a day is fine
You brush, then you floss, then you rinse
And it’s Sparkle Time, OK, it’s Sparkle Time

            Sweets invite the Cavity Creeps
So keep fruit and veggies near
And be sure to see your dentist
For a checkup twice a year

Learn to take care of your teeth
And it’s Sparkle Time for you
You’ll have a shining smile for life
            And be a superhero too

It’s Sparkle Time, oh yeah, it’s Sparkle Time
It’s Sparkle Time, OK, it’s Sparkle Time

As the Defenders fight the Creeps, there are several
humorous episodes with the Creeps getting swept away,
getting flossed out from their hiding places, etc. The
Creeps don’t actually die; they get washed away and
eventually retreat en masse. As he leads the retreat, the
Creep Commander pauses to turn back and shake his fist.

CC:
We’ll be back, you meddling kids.

The Dental Defenders strike a heroic pose.

CT:
And we’ll be here, Creep, defending teeth from scum like
you.

Scene VI:

CT turns to camera and speaks directly to it:

CT:
Do you have what it takes to be a Dental Defender?

PR:
The world can always use a few more superheroes.
CT:
Just pick a super toothpaste and brush, and use them twice
a day. Fronts, backs, tops and tongue. And make sure to
brush for two minutes.

FF:
Don’t forget to floss to keep the Cavity Creeps from hiding
between your teeth. Once a day is probably enough.

PR:
Rinse is awesome for killing germs and keeping your breath
fresh.

FF:
Don’t go crazy with sweets, soda and sports drinks. Try
healthy snacks instead, like fruits and vegetables.

PR:
And make sure to go to the dentist! You should get a
checkup twice a year.

FF:
Do all that and you’ll keep those Cavity Creeps on the run
for good.

CT:
Well, our work here is done. But there are other mouths out
there that need defending.

All (just before flying off in unison):
It’s Sparkle Time!

As they fly off, the camera pulls back to reveal the teeth
in a sparkling smile.
