NAOSH Week 2008
Start Today…Live it Everyday!
Each year during North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week, the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, and Alberta Employment, Industry and Immigration partner together to support businesses, community organizations and their local municipal government in informing the public of the importance of health and safety in the workplace. The goal of NAOSH Week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, the general public and all partners in occupational safety, health and the environment on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace. NAOSH Week 2008 is scheduled from May 4th— 10th with the theme “Start Today...Live it Everyday!” Subtopics of the theme include: • Focus on Hazards. • Use Safe Guards and Safe Gears. • Follow Safe Work Practices. • Look Out for Yourself and Others. We encourage you to begin your planning now on how to best promote health and safety in your community during NAOSH Week.
