Press Contact: Veronica Ortega 512-418-1163 ext. 100 veronica@csoresearch NEWS RELEASE CSO Research, Inc. Forms Alliance with MonsterTRAK CSO Research, Inc., an organization dedicated solely to university career services offices, forms relationship that provides current CSO clients with new optional features and brings CSO’s powerful automation tools and services to MonsterTRAK clients. (Austin, TX) – December 5, 2007 – This morning, MonsterTRAK distributed an announcement about a new alliance between CSO and MonsterTRAK. We are very excited to be working with MonsterTRAK and I want to share the details of this alliance and what it means for CSO members. This alliance was born from the recognition that CSO is the best provider of career services automation AND service in the career services community. MonsterTRAK reviewed the available providers and came to realize that CSO would be the best firm to serve the MonsterTRAK career center clients. So, MonsterTRAK has licensed Interfase for its clients and is offering them an upgrade path over to CSO. What does this mean for current CSO members? First, it means that many new Interfase users will be joining our growing community over the next few months. CSO typically adds 60-100 new schools a year, and this influx of new users is in-line with our normal annual growth. We’re excited to have them join us, and we’re expecting them to become vibrant contributors to our community! CSO will be hiring additional services folks to help these new schools and to further strengthen our services teams. CSO will also provide automation services to some of the smaller schools that MonsterTRAK has traditionally served. Next, Interfase users will gain access to the MonsterTRAK job and employer data. This option to access the MonsterTRAK job stream is totally at your discretion. Turn it on, turn it off – totally your call. Since the current MonsterTRAK schools rely on this job and employer stream, it was necessary for us to enhance Interfase to provide access to this data for each of the MonsterTRAK schools. We did it for them, so it is available to you (starting in early 2008). But again, this is completely your choice – you’ll go into Interfase’s Setup section to turn this option on if you so desire, and if you don’t like it after trying it, you can turn it off. CSO’s services team has a detailed document which describes this option, and will make that available to each of you soon. Finally, I want to proactively allay any concerns you may have about CSO working with MonsterTRAK. CSO did not buy MonsterTRAK. MonsterTRAK did not buy CSO. CSO remains (fiercely) independent and 100% dedicated solely to university career services offices…we are excited to work with MonsterTRAK to help their clients with CSO’s powerful automation tools and services, and we’re excited to be able to offer the OPTION to CSO clients to access the MonsterTRAK employer and job stream functions. With the MonsterTRAK clients joining the CSO family, CSO will now be the largest provider of Career Services Automation and Service – hurray! If you would like to speak with me directly about this new alliance, drop me an email at erik@csoresearch.com and we’ll coordinate a time to talk. As always, thanks again for your continued support and friendship! Erik Mulloy, Founder CSO Research, Inc.
