The system’s internal power supply saves space on your production line.
It gives you more flexibility and simplifies installation. That means less
hardware and external wiring to install and maintain, and one less set of
connections to cause problems later.
Digital Signal Processing (DSP) delivers more accurate, less ambiguous
detection. At maximum line speeds, the DSP IP can detect metal that
other systems might miss without rejecting product unnecessarily.
Your operation stays fast and efficient, and waste is minimized without
jeopardizing quality. Our optional and world-patented AuditCheck

• GK Quality Test
The GK Quality Test is an aid to ensure that manual quality checks
are performed correctly. The operator is prompted to pass test

are considered to be satisfactory and an appropriate report can be
generated. If the tests fail or are not carried out within an acceptable
time frame, an alarm can be generated.
FEATURES
Universal Power Supply The Goring Kerr DSP IP Metal Detector uses a universal power supply that is suitable for use throughout the world
without changing any internal, or external links. It’s operation power 90 / 250 volt AC supply specifications are:
50 / 60 Hz Single Phase and Earth 30 watts (maximum).
Fault Masks There are a number of fault conditions that can be selected from the front panel in order to generate an alarm warning.
These are chosen on an individual basis. The following continuously monitored fault conditions are available:
Search Head Fault Excessive Reject Fault
Shaft Encoder Fault Photo Reject Fault
Reject Confirmation Fault Phase Limit Fault
QA Test Response Fault 24 Volt Fault
Battery Low Fault Reject Block Fault
QA Test Result Fault AuditCheck Fault
Product Memory Fault PSU Fault
Output Signals There are 5 output signals available on the DSP IP. Two are solid state and are usually reserved for the reject and
AuditCheck control. The other three are relay outputs used for faults, alarms, and other miscellaneous applications.
Approvals The DSP IP has worldwide approvals including IP69k, CE and CSA.
Communication Connections Communication and printer connections are made using either a standard RS232, or four wire multi-drop
RS485, interface.
DSPNet Communications DSPNet is a communications and control software package that allows up to 32 (optionally 64) DSP2, DSP3, and DSP IP
metal detectors to be connected to a central PC. They are connected using a simple twin two-wire network. The software
package allows remote operation of the metal detector and interrelation of the operational data. The system can collect
and store a wide variety of reports from the metal detectors. Using a modem connection to the PC, the metal detector can
be diagnosed remotely in the case of problems.
A full specification of the DSPNet is available from your local sales office.
Manufacturing Quality All Goring Kerr Metal Detectors are manufactured in an ISO9001 facility to ensure the highest possible
manufacturing standards.
