Within the Province of British Columbia Carrier Canada operates a very dynamic, vibrant and fast-paced Regional Commercial, Residential Sales and Distribution organization. Residential Sales Teams ( focused upon Product Sales ) are located in Langley and Kelowna Branch Offices covering the entire Province. Residential HVAC/R Products and aftermarket parts include: air conditioners and heat pumps for split systems, air handling & air quality products, air purifiers and cleaners, humidifiers, ventilators, boilers, furnaces for split systems, controls and thermostats, fan and evaporator coils, etc. Commercial Sales Teams are also located at these two Branches that promote design-build ( new construction and retrofit solutions ), advancing the sale of Carrier equipment through the Consulting Engineering specification process, as well as, through direct sales to Mechanical Contractors. Position Responsibilities This position is located in Langley, B.C. and reports directly to the President of Carrier Canada in this newly created role, responsibilities entail:  Strategic direction and management of the residential and commercial businesses with accountability for annual performance metrics, sales plans, sales and market share growth, efficient asset management collections and inventory, as well as, maintaining gross margin performance ( EBIT and DSO ) The focal point of the position is twofold … to place emphasis upon the sale, growth and expansion of Carrier’s Residential HVAC/R products and systems to Carrier’s network of authorized residential dealers and authorized mechanical contractors within the Province, as well as, directly growing Commercial business opportunities Direct supervision and management of Residential & Commercial Sales Reps and Inside Sales Reps. with respect to training, coaching, mentoring and ongoing performance, as well as, employee development Coaching the Sales Team through an innovative, “cutting-edge” web-based educational process related to new and improved selling skills Building strong relationships with existing dealers, distributors and authorized ( HVAC ) mechanical contractors, recruitment of new dealers Execution of corporate, national and regional marketing programs / initiatives for product introductions related to a variety of product families      Position Requirements – Contemporary Professional Sales Manager Carrier Canada requires a contemporary, energetic and accomplished Sales Leader with an Engineering Degree or Undergraduate Degree in Business / Commerce (preferably with emphasis upon Marketing) together with a minimum of 10 years successful Sales Management experience within a fast-paced, competitive product sales or equipment- oriented environment. An M.B.A., or post graduate studies in Engineering or Project Management could be advantageous. The successful candidate will have experience within a channel distribution business. Exposure to Commercial Sales, Building / Mechanical Contractors and / or Consulting Engineering Firms would be an asset. Industry specific HVAC experience is not essential. Candidates who have demonstrated successful careers within a Sales Leadership capacity in other industries are welcome to apply. The mandate requires an individual who is capable of providing exceptional sales management / leadership skills, has channel and key account management experience, as well as, proven marketing capabilities, commitment to dedicated customer service and strong client relationships. Familiarity with corporate reporting protocols, related sales reporting, P & L, reporting monthly financials, and preparing and presenting analysis of regional business reports and data is inherent to the position. Excellent planning & organization al skills, as well as, strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required together with contemporary computer skills.
