Professional Summary Extensive experience in diverse managerial roles which have included positions in engineering, transportation, chemical, financial and not for profit sectors. Selected Achievements  Leadership: Have led corporate departmental teams from 1 direct to in excess of 25 direct reports. Have held all elected positions in several professional organizations including the roles of president and conference chair. Mentored staff to achieve exceptional results and encouraged them to rise to their highest level. Design/Implementation of Training Programs: Have been responsible for the creation and implementation of department specific training material in several companies. Wrote and sold a program in “Basic Credit” to the Credit Institute of Canada. Produced an accounts management program for dental offices in the use of credit and billing tools. Recently co-wrote a corporate presentation that highlighted the strategic relationship between three corporate functions. Have written and presented seminars for a number of non profit groups. Experience with Webex, PowerPoint, Video conferencing as well as traditional means of presentation. Project Leadership: Was the project leader for CANstruction, a construction project for charity for 2006 & 2007. Led a team of engineers, finance and technical staff to formulate the vision, plan and engineer the project and build the structure within a specific budget and time frame. Elected as chairman for the NACM-CFDD North American Western Region Conference in 1988 & 1995 (co-chair 2002). Have led corporate projects to integrate regional departments into central locations, created new departments for new corporate endeavours and have led teams to formulate and write functional policy. Operational Abilities: Have worked closely with corporate contracts departments to ensure aspects of corporate risk were managed. Was part of a management team that collaborated with outside consultants and senior corporate leaders to identify, clarify and systematically resolve client service issues. Responsible for “mapping” various company processes in order to identify areas of concern and breakdown of approach, with impetus on providing system fault resolution and improvement to existing quality control. Managed unionized staff through the hiring, required discipline and grievance processes. Managed a large number of events at a corporate level and as a non profit volunteer.
