Study Room Guidelines
These guidelines have been developed to ensure fair use of the 4 study rooms on the second floor and the 2 study rooms on the third floor of the Library. ______________________________________________________________ Individuals may study in any room for as long as they want, unless a group schedules the room. A minimum of two people are required in order to reserve & occupy a study room. Groups of 2 or more may schedule a room on the day they need it, for up to 3 hours, and may stay longer unless another group has the room scheduled. Professors may schedule a room in advance, for as long as they need it, for the duration of the semester. Rooms may be scheduled on the day needed: A 2nd floor room may be scheduled in person at the Reserve Desk or by telephone (x7873). A 3rd floor room may be scheduled in person at the Reference Desk, by telephone (x5707), or through the Reference chat line (link on the Library’s homepage). Available rooms are scheduled for the first group that leaves a name and a requested time. If a group does not show up within 15 minutes after their start time, or if the room is vacant for 15 minutes, another group may schedule the room. Use only dry erase markers on the white board. An ID may be traded for markers and erasers at the 2nd floor Reserve Desk and the 3rd floor Reference Desk. Keep caps on marker when not in use. Return markers when leaving the room. The rooms are not soundproof. Please keep the door closed to avoid disturbing others. All drinks must have a lid. No food is allowed.
