     SNELL & WILMER ELECTS 13 NEW FIRM PARTNERS AND ONE SENIOR
                                ATTORNEY
                 New Partners cover diverse legal practice areas

    PHOENIX (February 19, 2008)—Snell & Wilmer is proud to announce the election of 13 new
    partners throughout its six offices. Jeff Beck, Brian Burke, Brian Burt, Marc Erpenbeck,
    Joseph Kiefer, Barbara McCloud, and John Platt were elected partner in the Phoenix office.
    Nathan Davis was elected in the firm’s Denver office. Brian Cheney, Elizabeth Evensen, and
    James Gardner were elected partner in the Salt Lake City office, as well as David Williams,
    who was elected senior attorney. Alex Fugazzi was elected in the firm’s Las Vegas office and
    Rick Tache was elected partner in the Orange County office.

    Jeff Beck, a business and finance attorney in Snell & Wilmer’s Phoenix office concentrates his
    practice in securities, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, corporate governance and
    Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Beck’s wide-ranging expertise is complimented by his background
    as a Certified Public Accountant. Beck is actively involved as a member of the Accounting
    Advisory Counsel of the W.A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University and is
    also a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the American Bar Association, the American Institute
    of Certified Public Accountants, the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and the
    America Society of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants.

    Brian Burke concentrates his legal practice in business and finance, working extensively in
    securitization and secondary markets transactions, asset-based lending transactions, and corporate
    finance transactions. Burke received his Bachelor in Business Administration from Loyola
    Marymount University and went on to earn his juris doctor from Syracuse University in 2000.

    Brian Burt, a business lawyer in Snell & Wilmer’s Phoenix office, advises entrepreneurial
    companies in all stages of development, from formation to liquidity. He has extensive experience
    in corporate structuring and governance, angel and venture capital financing, securities
    regulation, technology transfer and licensing, shareholder and employee issues, joint ventures and
    strategic alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Burt received his B.A. in Political Science and
    Philosophy, summa cum laude, from Allegheny College, where he was class valedictorian. He
    then went on to earn his juris doctor from Harvard Law School, where he served as Managing
    Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy.

    Brian Cheney concentrates his practice in real estate and commercial finance transactions. He
    has extensive experience working in condominium, hotel, hotel condominium, resort, master
    planned communities, and other commercial real estate development projects and business
    transactions. Mr. Cheney received his B.A. in business and finance from the University of Utah
    in 1997. He then went on to earn his juris doctor from the University of Utah College of Law
    where he also acted as a Senior Editor for the Utah Law Review.

    Nathan Davis, a litigator in Snell & Wilmer’s Denver office, concentrates his practice in product
    liability, commercial, and oil and gas litigation. Davis received his B.A. from Wabash
    College and his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. Davis has extensive
    trial experience in state and federal courts, as well as before the American Arbitration
    Association. Davis is one of the original attorneys in Snell & Wilmer's Denver office.

    Marc Erpenbeck, an attorney in Snell & Wilmer's Phoenix office concentrates his practice in
    litigation and transactional matters related to construction, the environment, and toxic torts.
    Erpenbeck has extensive experience in environmental and land use counseling; energy and
    natural resources; environmental due diligence and land development including permitting,
    compliance and administrative dispute resolution. Erpenbeck has given back to the community
    through the Arizona Air & Waste Management Association, City of Chandler Housing Human
    Services Commission, Valley Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and the Volunteer Lawyers Program.

    Elizabeth (Leeza) Evensen concentrates her practice in real estate law, focusing on hotel, resort,
    retail, condominium, office, and other commercial real estate development and disposition;
    office/retail leasing; partnerships and joint ventures; construction; real estate workouts; real estate
    financing; and general commercial and corporate transactions. She received her B.A. in
    journalism from Moscow State University with honors. She then went on to earn her juris doctor
    from the University of Utah College of Law in 2000. Evensen is an active member with the Utah
    State Bar and the American Bar Association. She was named one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” by Utah
    Business Magazine in 2008.

    Alex Fugazzi, an attorney in Snell & Wilmer’s Las Vegas office concentrates his practice in
    commercial litigation. Fugazzi received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan
    in 1997. He then went on to earn his juris doctor from the University of Michigan School of Law
    in 2000 where he graduated with cum laude recognition. Fugazzi is admitted to the United States
    Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, the District of Nevada, the Supreme Court of Nevada, the
    United States District court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Supreme Court of Illinois.

    James Gardner’s practice is concentrated in commercial litigation. Gardner, who joined Snell &
    Wilmer’s Salt Lake City office in 2000, has extensive experience in federal and state court
    business litigation arising from corporate and partnership disputes, racketeering claims, contract
    disputes, business torts, real estate disputes, and other commercial matters. Gardner received his
    B.A. from Brigham Young University with magna cum laude recognition. He then went on to
    earn his juris doctor from Duke University School of Law where he graduated with cum laude
    honors.

    Joseph Kiefer concentrates his practice in product liability and complex civil litigation. In his
    nearly 10 years of practicing law, Kiefer has gained extensive experience representing automobile
    manufacturers in major cases in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. Kiefer
    received his B.S. in political science and economics from the United States Naval Academy. He
    then earned his M.B.A. from Chaminade University, followed by his juris doctor from the
    College of William and Mary School of Law.

    Barbara McCloud, a labor and employment attorney in Snell & Wilmer's Phoenix office has
    been with the firm since 2003. Previously, Ms. McCloud served as Special Assistant Attorney
    General for the State of Kansas and was Associate General Counsel for the University of Kansas.
    She has extensive experience advising clients in areas of employment, labor and education law, as
    well as representation before various state and federal agencies and litigation in state, federal and
    appellate courts. Ms. McCloud earned her B.S. from Northern Arizona University and her M.B.A.
    and J.D. from the University of Kansas.

    John Platt, an attorney in Snell & Wilmer’s Phoenix office, focuses his practice in intellectual
    property. He has represented clients in matters ranging from patent and trademark prosecution,
    non-infringement opinions, trademark oppositions, licensing agreements, and intellectual
    property litigation matters. Platt received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1993, his Juris

    Doctor in 1999, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2000, all from Arizona State University.
    Platt is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Arizona, the U.S. District Court, the
    U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

    J. Rick Taché, an intellectual property attorney in Snell & Wilmer’s Orange County office
    concentrates his practice on transactions, litigation, prosecution, portfolio management, and client
    counseling. Taché has extensive experience in multi-billion dollar transactions and has been
    involved in several patent and trademark cases for major corporations. Taché received
    his Bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick. He then went on to
    earn his M.B.A. in sports administration from Ohio State University, a Bachelor's degree in law
    from the University of Windsor and his juris doctor from the University of Detroit.

    David Williams, who joined Snell & Wilmer’s Salt Lake City office in 2002 focuses his practice
    on labor and employment matters. Williams received his B.A. and M.B.A. in finance from the
    University of Utah. He then earned his juris doctor from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney
    College of law in 1995, where he also acted as note and comment editor for the Utah Law
    Review.
