                                    NOTICE OF PROPOSED AWARD
                                                     PON-08-010
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Cost Share
Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program
                                           Clean Cities

On April 22, 2009, the California Energy Commission released a solicitation entitled
“American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Cost Share: Alternative and
Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program.” The Energy Commission proposes
to award funding to the projects listed, which received federal awards in response to the
U.S. Department of Energy’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
(ARRA) Clean Cities, Round 1, Funding Opportunity Announcement. In accordance with
the solicitation, the Energy Commission may only issue awards to projects that received
an award from the federal government.

The attached revised table represents an estimate of the amount of funding that the
Energy Commission may award to each recipient. Final award amounts may vary
significantly from the amounts listed. The Energy Commission will determine final award
amounts after discussions with each proposed award recipient. Factors the Energy
Commission may consider include, but are not limited to, the amount of funding
received from the U.S. Department of Energy, eligibility and budget for each part of the
final proposed scope of work, and the amount of funding required to allow the project to
proceed as described in the proposed recipient’s final proposal.

Final awards recommended for funding were based on successful evaluation of final
proposals submitted to PON-08-010 and receipt of an ARRA award from the federal
          government.

This revision to the NOPA released on September 2, 2009 is in response to a change in funding
provided by DOE. Since the Energy Commission awards required that the applicant receive an award
from the DOE, applications that were not awarded by the DOE were not awarded in the previous NOPA.
The NOPA has been revised to add an award to an applicant that received DOE funding and passed
          Energy Commission Review.
