     The Conrad Jupiters’ Convention Advantage
Australia’s Gold Coast remains unrivalled as the ideal destination of conventions and
incentives, offering delegates the perfect combination of great weather and an endless
choice of attractions. When it comes to meetings on the Gold Coast, Conrad Jupiters has
the ‘convention advantage’ and is the perfect place to mix business with pleasure.

Set at the heart of the Gold Coast, Conrad Jupiters is home to one of Australia’s largest
hotel meeting spaces. In addition to specialist meeting and business facilities, the five-
star property boasts a host of recreational facilities to cater for conference organisers
looking for a ‘complete meeting experience’.

Offering the ultimate in comfort, technology and exceptional service, Conrad Jupiters
Executive Lounge and 101 new Executive Rooms provide a level of service and
sophistication unprecedented on the Gold Coast.

The Executive Floors occupy the hotel’s top five floors and consist of 101 superbly
appointed rooms. Each room provides panoramic views of the Gold Coast and features a
slimline widescreen LCD monitor, a DVD/CD player and high speed internet access.

The Executive Lounge is reserved for the private use of guests staying on the Executive
Floors. Incorporating a dining area, library, business centre and two dedicated
boardrooms, the lounge enhances the hotel’s existing meeting facilities. The private
board rooms are ideal for interviews, product presentations and small board meetings,
with flexibility to merge the two into a larger meeting area if required. For those not
travelling with their own computer, the business centre is fitted with computer work
stations. In addition to using the above facilities, other benefits offered by the Executive
Lounge include complimentary continental breakfast and pre-dinner drinks and canapés

Back down on the Casino level, Conrad Jupiters Pavilion Convention Centre is a popular
venue for meetings, conventions, exhibitions and banquets of all sizes. Designed as a
totally self-supporting facility, the Pavilion provides a variety of spaces to accommodate
groups of half a dozen to high-powered sessions of more than 2,000 people. The Pavilion
features 1600 square metres of pillarless convention space, which can be broken down
into seven separate convention areas. Additionally, the convention centre also houses six
smaller breakout rooms and a convention secretariat office.

The convention centre is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. With audio-visual
technology changing so rapidly, the hotel hires equipment specifically to suit each
convention to avoid holding outdated equipment. This ensures convention organisers
receive the very latest and best equipment for their particular needs.

In addition to meeting space within the Pavilion Convention Centre, a 30m x 40m semi-
permanent marquee on the hotel’s lawns is available for client use and provides extra
exhibition space or an alternative dinner venue for up to 800 guests.
When it comes to catered functions, many organisers also choose the tropical setting of
the pool area, with its imposing Roman pavilion and fairy-lit trees and fountains, as a
venue for cocktail parties or other informal social functions. For special board lunches,
smaller meetings or product showings, the hotel's luxurious penthouses can comfortably
seat 25 for a meal with butler service. Conrad’s award-winning restaurants, the state-of-
the-art Jupiters Theatre and the landscaped Jupiters Cove also provide attractive venues
which can be themed for any occasion.

The property’s Convention Services department plays a key role in delivering the hotel’s
‘convention advantage’. Renowned across Australia for their attention to detail, client
servicing and ‘can-do’ attitude, specialist Event Coordinators oversee each and every
function to ensure everything runs smoothly and professionally. In addition to assisting
with conference planning, the property’s convention services staff assist with theming
and catering and banquet menu planning, as well as providing suggestions on
entertainment, team building and after hours activities.

The professionalism of the Convention Services staff, combined with the hotel’s state of
the art meeting facilities have seen the hotel enjoy a high level of repeat business – so
satisfied with the success of former gatherings, over 65% of large events business
returns year after year.

Pat Napper, Managing Director of Conference Solutions is one client that falls into the
‘repeat business’ category. ‘I was very impressed with the level of service that the team
in the Pavilion provided to us in every respect. They were all attentive and quick, and
only too happy to help with all our requests’.

The Urban Development Institute of Australia also returns annually. As said Brian
Stewart, Chief Executive UDIA, ‘Your facilities and staff were absolutely outstanding and
helped to ensure that the experience for our delegates was an outstanding one. Without
exception, the experience of delegates was that this was the best National Congress for
the development industry to date’.

In addition to business facilities, Conrad Jupiters also offers a number of recreational
facilities for delegates at leisure. Such facilities help create the concept of a ‘complete
and balanced’ conferencing program. As many organisers will agree, happy delegates
will absorb more and will come back next year.

At Conrad Jupiters, delegates have a choice of five award-winning restaurants, nine bars,
a fully equipped gymnasium, outdoor pool and spa, and 24-hour casino action in Jupiters
Casino. If that is not enough to keep delegates happy, the hotel also features a
spectacular live stage show in Jupiters Theatre. The latest show, Tempo Rouge opened
in November 2005 to rave reviews. The show is an example of pure escapism at its best
and delivers a variety of unique performances to provide the perfect escape for delegates
looking to relax after a full day of seminars.

If convention delegates have the time available, there are many other activities to enjoy
just outside Conrad Jupiters’ doors.

Conrad Jupiters is just a short stroll from the beach and is conveniently located next door
to the Gold Coast’s biggest shopping centre, Pacific Fair. Additionally, a monorail
connects the property to the Broadbeach shopping precinct.
Other attractions range from bush walking and exploring the rain forests of the Gold
Coast Hinterland to spending lazy days on golden sandy beaches, experiencing the fun
and excitement of the region’s theme parks or taking to some of the world’s best golf

With so many choices of things for delegates to do, it is easy to see why companies keep
coming back year after year. The only possible problem for convention guests at Conrad
Jupiters is accepting its time to go home.
